CORNING MUSEUM OF GLASS

IMG_7245 As I was looking at the map I discovered that we would be traveling right by this museum and then I found out they had parking for RVs. That cinched it for me. We had to stop. IMG_7247 IMG_7250IMG_7258 It was really fascinating and I wish we could have spent more time. But there were also thousands of other people visiting the museum along with us and since I really don’t enjoy large crowds we didn’t spend as much time as I would have liked.

We watched a hot glass demonstration and they made a small pumpkin. We were amazed at how easy they made it look. But take a look at these two giant glass pumpkins. I bet these weren’t near as easy to make.

IMG_7262 The Museum is home to the world’s most comprehensive collection of glass--more than 45,000 glass objects, spanning 3,500 years of glassmaking history.

  1. Now there is another museum to add to my "bucket list". I love glass objects and those pumpkins are really neat. Don't you just love it when there is parking for an RV?

  2. I agree with Margie. My bucket list is growing daily. This place looks awesome. Since it is glass, I know Paul won't let me buy anything but I can still look.

Being out of the loop for a while, I didn't know about your head but I am glad you are feeling better. Enjoy the trip!
