SORT OF A CAMPGROUND?

Somewhere near Marion, IN

When we left Elkhart, we planned on camping somewhere near Indianapolis but we hadn’t counted on a bad accident on I-65 south that had traffic backed up for miles.

We sat in the mess for about 45 minutes and had only moved about 1/2 a mile so we got off at the closest exit and decided to call it quits. Found a campground in the GPS that wasn’t too far away and off we went.

Found the campground but it was closed for the season. As we were turning around, a really nice young couple drove up in a golf cart. They are the managers of the campground and told us we were more than welcome to park in the driveway for the night. So we settled down and had a beautiful, quiet night. These are pictures of the sunrise over the campground and a picture out the front window of the driveway we were parked on. One of our nicer stays.
