As I was looking at the map I discovered that we would be traveling right by this museum and then I found out they had parking for RVs. That cinched it for me. We had to stop. It was really fascinating and I wish we could have spent more time. But there were also thousands of other people visiting the museum along with us and since I really don’t enjoy large crowds we didn’t spend as much time as I would have liked.
We watched a hot glass demonstration and they made a small pumpkin. We were amazed at how easy they made it look. But take a look at these two giant glass pumpkins. I bet these weren’t near as easy to make.
The Museum is home to the world’s most comprehensive collection of glass--more than 45,000 glass objects, spanning 3,500 years of glassmaking history.
Now there is another museum to add to my "bucket list". I love glass objects and those pumpkins are really neat. Don't you just love it when there is parking for an RV?
ReplyDeleteI agree with Margie. My bucket list is growing daily. This place looks awesome. Since it is glass, I know Paul won't let me buy anything but I can still look.
ReplyDeleteBeing out of the loop for a while, I didn't know about your head but I am glad you are feeling better. Enjoy the trip!
Love the pictures. Looks like a really neat place to visit
