Thank Goodness February Has Been More Fun

AJ, AZ - the weather has been lousy. Lots of rain and cold for Arizona. We have a couple of nice days and then a cold front comes through with more rain and a whole lot of snow in the north country.

February has certainly been more exciting than January of 2023.

I had the great fun of a colonoscopy on the 1st. Clean as a whistle. Hopefully the last one I will ever have to have.

On the 3rd Elias James Dixon was born. My heart is filled with  joy for this little boy and his Mom and Dad. I sure wish Jim was here to share this joy with me.  (just to let you know there are actually pictures that aren't baby pictures further down)

February 4th we had a cookout at the Saguaro Ranch. Some of the group went horseback riding but that group did not include me. Such a gorgeous place.

February 7th marked one year since Jim died. I decided to treat myself to a pedicure and a couple pairs of new shoes. The loneliness gets really hard at times. But I'm doing okay.

For Valentine's Day my grief support group had a "Gal"entine's Day. We did a lot of laughing and enjoying each other's company along with good food. Really a great time.

There are more adventures to come in February.

Grandma!!!!!

AJ, AZ  Highs in 60s  Lows in 40s

Warning - Lots of baby pictures. I want all of this recorded on my blog so I can go back and relive this exciting time.

Elias James Dixon decided he was ready to get on with his life here on earth and arrived on February 3, 2023 (2-3-23) at 2:46 p.m. Weighing 6 lbs 10 oz and 19.5 inches long.

Even though he was a nice weight and size, he is still three weeks premature and as such his internal organs still need to develop somewhat. But he is so perfect and he has hair!!! Todd was born almost bald with a little peach fuzz.

Never enough pictures.  I'm not sure when I'll be able to get to Montana to hold this very special little one but I can hardly wait.

January 2023 - Boring

Apache Junction, AZ   - cold and rainy

January was a really boring month so let's just get this posted.  The weather was the most "exciting" thing to happen. Now remember, this is from Apache Junction down in the valley in the desert in Arizona.

We had one of the rainiest winter months I've ever seen down here. For awhile we all felt like we needed to grow web feet. And when it wasn't raining it was cold. (it's all relative) I know that 30 degrees isn't cold to a lot of you, but I was freezing a whole lot of the time. Day time temps would get into the low 50's but with the cloud cover it seemed colder.

I had several doctor appointments that all went well. Got those out of the way for hopefully another year. Had lunch one day with Ginny, Mickey and Paul. And that's about it.

The best thing was getting these pictures from Todd and Michaela. Can hardly wait for February 25 for Elias to arrive.

I am ready for February.
