Carson City is a great place to have as a base while visiting this area of Nevada. Lake Tahoe was about an hour's drive from Carson City and I have always wanted to see this lake. I've seen pictures and read about it - now I had a chance to see it for myself. 
The lake is as beautiful as all the pictures I've seen. We found a great 
campground right across the highway from the lake and we will definitely be back to spend some time closer to the lake. Jim wants to do some trout fishing. Maybe by then our freezer will be cleaned out a little bit and there will be room for more fish.
