Jim has been out fishing several days when the weather permitted but he wasn’t having much luck with the catching part of fishing. That is until this last week.
He decided to go out later in the day and along about 5:30 (when he normally starts to head in) he started to get some hits. That’s when he pulled in these beautiful large mouth bass.
And no, he didn’t keep them. They are both females and are full of eggs (which you can really tell in the picture of the biggest fish). So back they went into the water to have lots of little fish that hopefully will grow up so Jim can catch some of them next year.
Isn’t this picture of the sunset on the lake just incredibly beautiful?
The colors in that sunset pic are just beautiful!!! So peaceful!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the catch....isn't it fun!!! :-)
It was always my luck to catch pregnant fish - I guess they were too slow to escape and too hungry to avoid the bait!
ReplyDeleteVery nice sunset. One of these days Jim will surprise us and keep a fish he cathces.
ReplyDeleteNice sunset pics! That was great of Jim to throw those big Bass back in the lake too!
ReplyDeleteWicked sunset pic !
ReplyDeleteHuh! I never thought about what a pregnant fish would look like. I'm glad he threw them back. I agree with Gypsy about pregnant meaning slow and hungry. :D
ReplyDeleteThat has to be one of the nicest sunset photos I've seen! Just georgeous!!!!
