PARTY TIME

This time of year there are always more things to do then you can possibly have time for.

On Saturday we had two parties to attend. The first one was at noon here in our RV park. We had a hot dog roast and potluck. Most of AZ is under a no burn order because they haven’t had any rain in forever. So instead of cooking the hot dogs over an open fire, we had several grills and the men did the cooking.

So much good food. I still really don’t know anybody’s name but I did meet Bonnie and Orv so I can at least call them by name when I see them. Had a good time and tried not to eat too much.

skp1 Because at 4:00 we had our Escapees Chapter 45 Christmas dinner. The dinner was held at the Pier de Orleans Restaurant in Mesa and we had 75 people there. It was also our chance to donate money to both Escapees Care and the Apache Junction Food Bank. We raised $700 for Care and $1055 for the food bank. That is so fantastic.

skp The dinner was so much fun because we got to see several people we haven’t seen in a long time. Eric and Karla, Sherry and Sharon, Jerry and Janice, Jeri and Terry, Jan and Bill, Sherry and Dave, and John and Karen. I love these kinds of get togethers. (I used a couple of Jeri’s pictures because Jim hasn’t quite got his new camera figured out and most of our pictures didn’t turn out.)

DSCN0084 After dinner we went to the Mormon Temple in Mesa to see the lights and listen to the Christmas program. The lights are really incredible and Michelle Bahr sang beautiful Christmas music to really get us in the mood for Christmas.

DSCN0075 A really wonderful day.

  3. sounds like so much fun! We love looking at lights. I have been reading your blog on my phone for the last few weeks, but it wouldn't let me post comments :(

Did I hear you say you got a new smart phone? How's it working out?
