Tonight we are parked at Cactus Pete’s Casino in Jackpot, NV. They have an RV park here for $22/night but we are boondocked right next to it for $0/night. Works for me.

Another 200 mile day tomorrow to Ely, NV and then we get to stay there for two nights.

  1. I like staying two nights every other night. Driving every day is tiring.

  2. That was our route north in April. We had snow in Ely but you shouldn't. Check the peg map, WE MOVED.

  3. I used to stop over in Ely when driving from Asheville, NC to Sacramento every winter. That was driving a Jeep and staying in a motel. It will be interesting to hear your version of Ely's RV Park.

  4. Boondocking for free sounds good to me!

  5. Great price lol!! Now if you could get a free buffet for joining their casino club, that would be a REALLY good deal.

  6. Yup, FREE is always a good price in my books.

  7. How in the heck did you get to Nevada? I didn't even know you were going there. Last I saw, Jim was fishing and you were having a fish fry.

  8. I love the $0 parking. I'll pay less, if I can manage it.

    Did someone say "free buffet"?

  9. I like the price. Keep us posted on this route as it's not one we've thought about.

  12. Now that's what we call a good price at a good place. If we ever find ourselves near there, that will make a fine layover. And yes, driving one day, sitting still for two nights is the way to go, even if you're in a hurry.

  13. Well, I was hoping you had hit the jackpot!
