I’ve been trying to write a post about my brother’s visit last week but I don’t think it’s going to see the light of the blog. However, it was cathartic for me. I’ll do a post with pictures about his visit, hopefully before too long.
We are actually going to pull up stakes and leave our spot for a week. We’re fitting this trip in between doctor appointments and physical therapy appointments.
We’re headed down to Benson so we can explore Tombstone, Bisbee, Willcox, and who knows what else we can get to. Dianna is going to follow us down so this will be her first big outing with her new rig.
We had a wonderful Easter dinner at the clubhouse with enough food to feed double the number of folks who were there. We definitely have some great cooks here in this park.
Spike hopes you had a wonderful Easter.
We loved Bisbee! It is nothing like Tombstone...too touristy and expensive for us. Bisbee is old and the people are wonderful. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteHave a good trip. Love Spike!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your travels and love the cactus. Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteWe liked Tombstone. Not so much Bisbee but that was because some old hippie showed us around and then asked for money. So happy you are Escaping.
ReplyDeleteWe also liked Tombstone. Sure, it's touristy and kinda campy but it was just plain fun. Bisbee is great too but we found it hard to get around...not in very good shape for all the stairs and steep hills.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun week enjoy, and Spikes looking pretty sharp for the Easter celebration.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for pictures.....haven't been there yet!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your get away....
Yay, enjoy that outing!!
ReplyDeleteWe really liked Tombstone. I know you'll have a great time.
ReplyDeleteNever been to either. Have fun and hope that Spike doesn't miss you too much.
ReplyDeleteNice to see you heading down to one of our favorite Arizona areas where we spent a lot of time & created a lot of memories these past 5 years or so. If you get a chance take a drive up to Coronado Peak at the southwest corner of Sierra Vista. Nice drive, nice views. Also a nice drive & views up into the Chiricahua Mountains. Maybe stop at the Faraway Ranch. Check out the Bisbee Breakfast Club on old Erie Street in Bisbee. It's on the southeast side of the big hole in the ground called the Lavender Pit mine. That street is a page out of history about 60 or 70 years ago. Not commercialized. It's a street that time just forgot.
ReplyDeleteWe rolled, too. All of twenty miles to the RV service center for maintenance on our Journey. The MH fought me when I came to the exit, it wanted to keep on going...
ReplyDeleteHave fun on your travels, even if they are short! :c)
Have a great week! We are looking forward to your photos and stories about your week.
ReplyDeleteHave a fun trip.
ReplyDeleteI explored that area my first Winter South. Really liked it.
