For those of you who were curious about the Prison Outlet Store – check out this link to see some of the really neat things the prisoners have made for sale:http://www.aci.az.gov/RetailOutletStore.html.
Jim and my BIL went to the NASCAR race on Sunday. This has become a yearly event for the guys and they really have a great time. Sure glad there weren’t any really huge crashes and nobody got hurt.
While Jim was at the race I got to have my feet worked on. One of the gals here in the park is studying to be a reflexologist and needs feet to practice on. I was the first in line to volunteer my feet. Actually this was my fourth “treatment” and they just get better and better.
Guess what Jim is going to do today? The sun is shining, the weather is perfect and hopefully the fish will be biting.
Our 90 year old neighbor, John, is in the hospital. Fluid had built up around his heart and he was having trouble breathing. But he’s doing good and should be home before too long.
Have a great day.
Interesting stuff in that outlet.
ReplyDeleteI bet those fish see more and more of Jim now that the weather is nice. It's going to be difficult to keep him off the lake.
ReplyDeleteI hope Jim brings home a big stringer of fish for dinner. Enjoy the sunshine!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see Jim got out to drop a line in the Lake. Hope your hoof's feel better.Give the girls a pet from us.WE are just waiting for warmer weather to come around. Sam & Donna....
ReplyDeleteGlad to see the inmates retained their sense of humor - "a gated community" LOL!! There seems to be some real artistic talent represented and I'm sure it's good for the inmates to be able to express that.
ReplyDeleteI worked at Fort Levenworth, KS they had a prison store there. And some of the things they made were awsome.
ReplyDeleteI could use a few pair of handcuffs:)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the link to the prison outlet store. I thought maybe you were pulling our leg! Ah, yes, anyone can have a prison store, but not everyone offers a prison outlet store. And I didn't even see any license plates for sale. :)
ReplyDeleteThey sure make a good variety of things for sale in the prison store, and not a license plate on the list! Hope your next blog entry contains lots of photos of the fish Jim caught.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many of those prisoners are making shives (knives) for themselves while making all those items? My former law enforcement mind kicking in. Hopefully they use metal detectors at the doors to the shops. :cO
ReplyDeleteGlad to see Jim drowning worms again! :cD
So glad Jim is feeling so much better. Hope he enjoyed the fishing.
ReplyDeleteMy favorites were the t-shirt, the wave drawers, and the pencil sketches. Some talented people there.
ReplyDeleteGlad you both got to do something you enjoyed. It's a good life.
Thanks for the link to the Prison Outlet Store - interesting stuff and most of it non-lethal!
ReplyDeleteInteresting store, glad to see Jim got his line wet
