A Whole Lot Less Excitement

Apache Junction, AZ  High 83  Low 52

Monday was a really laid back day after all the excitement of Sunday. Jim putzed around the rig and took a nap. I read and caught up on a few blogs. That was it.

Today was bone scan day which is a very long day. It’s an hour drive over to Scottsdale and then we had to find the right place. Only took a couple of tries. They took Jim back and gave him a shot to make him radioactive and then they send him away for three hours.

It’s too far to come back home so we looked for a restaurant to have a long, leisurely lunch. We had a Groupon for Salad Works in Scottsdale and it was delicious. (Judy B. it’s a lot like Salad Creations.)

So for $10 this was our lunch: (love those Groupons)

After lunch we wandered back over to Scottsdale Diagnostic Imaging and they do the actual bone scan. That only takes about 45 minutes and then we have the hour drive back home.

Boy were the girls excited to see us.

Hopefully we’ll get the results of the bone scan before too long. We heard back from the Dermatologist and we will be going back to see them on Friday. Jim’s still has a few problems and we’ll find out on Friday what we’re going to do for them.

So we’re back to normal for us.

  1. I live Groupon too. I think our daughter, Carrie, is the queen. She get tons of stuff from them.

Hope that bone scan shows nothing but strong bones.

  3. I hate that your life is back to waiting on medical stuff. Good choice on what to do while waiting, though.

  10. Eventually all those doctor appointments will be behind you. Then, you'll have to find something else to do but that'll be a good thing I bet.

  11. Keeping my fingers crossed for Jim, Sandie. I hate the waiting, but it seems that's the worst part for everyone. How's little Scooter?

  12. Hate those doctor days, you seem like cattle to the professional folks, as they run you thru like the herd...

  14. The waiting is the bummer... hate that ....

I have the Groupon App but have yet to take advantage... need to do that. I keep getting offers through my email but just delete them... usually they're for two people.

Your girls couldn't possibly misbehave in public... could they? hahaaa those faces every time I click on your blog on my laptop ... so cute

  15. Keeping you both in my prayers. While waiting, I usually bring something to read or a project to keep me busy. Slow yummy lunch is a good alternative.
