Way Past Due

Apache Junction, AZ  High 59  Low 35

One chore that I’m really not good at keeping up with is defrosting the fridge. I let it go way too long. Today was the day to fix that problem.

Ugly isn’t it.

While I was attacking the ice build up with hot water and my spatula, Jim was outside putting away the Christmas items, rearranging the shed and getting it organized. He also cleaned and filled the batteries and checked tire pressure.

Jim and Scoots ran a couple of errands and Skitz kept me entertained.

Getting stuff done and counting down to Thursday. Sure wish the weather was going to cooperate. We have a cold front coming through next week-end. Down to freezing at night.

  2. Is Skitlez wanting to be a bag lady? Cute picture.

I hate that chore too. But it feels good when it's all done.

  7. That's one huge advantage of our new residential refrigerator--it's frost free! I had to defrost the Norcold at least every three months. Maybe that should have been a clue to us that things weren't working properly!

  8. Well, at least your to-do-list is getting shorter. Skitz looks to be hiding from work.

  9. I used Marti's hair dryer to defrost my frige. Then I went and bought a heat gun. Some day I'll find where I stashed it in the MH and give Marti back her hair dryer...

  11. Well how cute is that. What would we do without our fur babies to entertain us and keep us company!

  12. It's been cold in South Texas for about a week now! I'm sick of it. Suppose to warm up starting Sunday. I hope so. CABIN FEVER!

  14. I've only had to do our freezer once since moving here in the fall of 2009. I'll shut it off for the last time in a few weeks (methinks) but it shouldn't be that bad. Maybe I don't open it that much?

  15. We will leave then too. We will probably get there first and let you know where.

  16. Having a frost free freezer is one of the best reasons for living in a house. How I hated the RV fridge!

  17. Skits looks pretty comfy. Defrosting the frig is not high on my list of fun things to do. You really had a lot of ice. I was pleasantly surprised that our Norcold didn't have much ice build up for our last trip. It keeps everything cold and the freezer keeps everything frozen. This one works so much better than our last one.

  18. I love reading about the fact that Jim is back to his old self and feeling well enough to be doing things.
