JIM’S CHRISTMAS PRESENT

Not really. But I have completely lost my voice so silence reigns at our house. I get laryngitis once a year, regular as clockwork. I inherited this wonderful whatever from my Mom. She did the same thing. I have a cold but don’t feel too bad.

BUT, this means I don’t get to go enjoy Christmas dinner with my sister, her hubby, Jim and Aunt Happy. I don’t dare take my germs to a senior living center.

Sure hope everyone had a truly wonderful day filled with love and joy.

dutton Last Wednesday, we went to the Dutton’s holiday show in Mesa. They put on a fabulous show; very talented family. They were on America’s Got Talent and made it into the top ten acts that year. They have a theater in Branson as well as the one here in Mesa. Definitely an act that is worth seeing.

IMG_3863 We also got our trailer brakes replaced. Thank goodness that’s over with. Now we are definitely ready to head to Q on Tuesday. I’m going regardless of how I feel.

My Christmas was definitely not very exciting but the sun was shining and that made me feel better. Hope you had a wonderful day filled with lots of love and joy.

  7. Bummer. In the silence, I hope you had a moment to commune with the reason we have Christmas in the first place. Blessings on your throat; take it easy for a day!

  9. OK, I did get a laugh over Jim's C'mas pressie, but seriously, I'm sorry that you are sick & could not attend the festivities. I'm sure you'll make up for it all once you get to Q! I hope you feel better soon though..

  10. Sandie, so sorry, I didn't realize that you had to spend Christmas alone, that is not very good!! you and Lennie were about in the same boat. Lennie is feeling better and I hope that continues...with this, it will be up and down for about a year I guess. Hopefully it won't be for any more than that!
You have a Very Happy New Year there kiddo. Jim, you have to take real good care of her!! So that she in turn can care for you after your surgery. Good luck and let us know how things are going.

  11. Well, that is just such a bummer! I have heard of lots of people down with various things this Christmas. I hope you got lots of rest and didn't have to do anything - store up your energy for Quartzsite! I'm looking forward to meeting you soon.

    Feel better. :)

  12. Sandie, i am sorry i haven't been to your blog more often. i appreciate that you read my christmas entry. I was sooo upset that my paragraph about spending quality time with jim and sandie in billings was not there. I wrote it in there. i had about 17 versions. i posted the wrong one. I was using windows live writer for the very first time so i was too terrified to "edit" or "correct" because there was no button for that. it looked like it would only repost the entire article. I am working on it tonight and hope to get it corrected. we had such a wonderful time in billings. believe me, steve and I are thinking of you Jim, and sending you big hugs for january. everything will go great and you will be a frisky new colt when it's over. hugs you two!

  13. Hope you feel better soon. Jim will soon actually miss the sound of your sweet voice for sure. Sounds like the flu and colds are really making their rounds this year. Enjoy the sunshine!
