MOM!! – tell Skittlez she has to share the sunshine with me.
We decided it as time to head back to Apache (Petticoat) Junction so Jim could get his fishing pox cure. The warmer weather is making him really sick, or so he tells me.
We went out to Plomosa Road to say goodbye to all the gang that had moved out that way.
Went to the Palo Verde Cafe for lunch. Jim’s sandwich was huge.
One last strange picture – the giant fishing pole and fish.
We also drove by some guys flying remote control airplanes. Since Jim really wants to get into this sport, we stopped and he got to visit with the guys and learn some new stuff.
When we got back to our campsite, Jim built us a campfire and John and Nan joined us as we watched another beautiful desert sunset and made our plans to meet in the future down the road.
The End
I guess all good times must come to a end.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to end a wonderful visit. Safe travels my friend
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you got your internet back. I can hardly wait to get Donna through her heart deal and then retired and we can go and relax for a month down south in Fla. and Ms. Thanks so much for being friends. Sam & Donna...
ReplyDeleteGotta keep movin'. Good luck to Jim catching fish.

Q is great. Finally caught up with the unread posts.
ReplyDeleteAt least your little doxies look at you when you take their picture, Cooper and Effie refuse to look at the camera, or shut their eyes.
ReplyDeleteWhen I think about it, it really is amazing how long Jim has gone without fishing. You are likely to have some fishing widow time to make up for that. :)
ReplyDelete"The Last Campfire" - I hope not!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice way to end that chapter. The remote planes are a blast to watch. Be safe and enjoy...
ReplyDeleteP.S. Your header picture makes me smile every time I open your blog. We have a wire-haired doxie....he sure brings alot to the party!
