These are the picnic areas at White Sands but to me they looked like ice fishing huts on a snow covered lake in Montana.

Even in the midst of this vast expanse of sand, flowers grow and bloom. We also saw a jackrabbit and a lizard, both of which were white as an adaptation to their surroundings.
