Sad News – Hazel of Class A Greyhounds

Apache Junction, AZ  High 89  Low 63

Sad news today when I read that Hazel Bluhm of Class A Greyhounds passed away from a massive stroke. Karen Pfundtner has written a wonderful tribute to Hazel on her blog at Karen in the Woods.

I met Hazel and her Greyhounds in Quartzsite at our Blogger Fest this last January and have followed along with her blog since then. We’ve exchanged several e-mails and was truly an animal lover.

Thank you Karen for letting blog land know of her passing.

  1. Hazel's passing is so tragic. We spent time with Hazel & her beautiful dogs & Karen & Steve while we were at Pancho Villa State Park in March. Hazel was kind, gentle & loved her dogs so very much. Her death is such a loss.

  3. Crikey ..... I found out through Karen too. I am soooooooo sad but Mum is sadder. We never met Hazel. We only knew her through her blog but we loved her non-the-less. I'm a whippet, Charlie and my Mum is Lynn. We live in Australia. How lucky you were to have met Hazel. She was some lady, aye?? Dear, dear, Hazel ..... we will miss you!!!

  5. Sorry to hear about Hazel, just read about it on Barbara's blog. We have never met her but have seen her in Quartzsite and taken many pictures of her walking her dogs.

  6. Hi everyone.. thanks for your kind words about Hazel. I just got an update from the rescue. Dear cat Chica has been adopted and is happily settling in her new home with two sisters and two other kitties. The dogs are both happy and settling in and will get more details from the rescue once their adoptions are final. I hope to get the password to Hazel's blog from her niece when she gets access to the motorhome soon.
