Rod came through the surgery okay and had an uneventful night last night which is always a good thing. He’s in ICU and the family doesn’t have much news yet. Melissa said today was a better day and that Rod was smiling at his son who was asleep in the chair and snoring.
We had a hot dog roast and bonfire here in the park last Saturday. Had over 60 folks show up and so much good food.
Today after Jim’s doctor’s appointment we met up with my cousin Myrna, and Dianna for lunch. Good to see both of them again.
Skittlez is feeling much better and can even eat dry dog food now. However, those cooked carrots are so much better. Both she and Scooter love their carrots.
I’m surprised at the number of folks that have already headed north. Hope they have safe travels and no snow.
Thanks for the report on Rod. Yet another health issue. Send him my best wishes.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Skittlez is an Easter dog since she likes carrots.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the update on Rod. Glad Skittlez is doing better. I love a good bonfire and especially smores.
ReplyDeleteAn uneventful night after surgery is a good thing! Well, we've not headed north yet and neither have you!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear Rod is doing well. Keeping him in my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteHappy Skittlez is doing well and back to eating her dry food. But can't blame her for loving those cooked carrots.
It seems kind of early to be going north in March - you can never tell what the weather will be even into April.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that Rod is doing well!! Thanks for the update!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update on Rod.
ReplyDeleteWe are just going east for a while before heading north
Thanks for the Rod update Sandi!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was snow birding my emotions were ready to head home in March but the weather certainly wasn't ready. Canadians don't get to stay south just because of weather, though. I was always glad I didn't have their restrictions.
ReplyDeleteOur park in Tucson is emptying out, as well. My theory is it's because Easter is so early.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the updates on Rod. We're happy that the doggo is back on dog food.
Good news about Rod. Thanks for the update, Sandie. I don't think you can have a better meal than when that many people put out their favorite dishes!
ReplyDeleteStrange. It's like I have a word limit on your comments (some will say "amen" to that. I did want to say that I'm so happy that Skittlez is better and can eat her food. She will probably always want the soft, probably hand fed carrots, though!
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the update on Rod! Glad your Skittlez is feeling better..!
ReplyDeleteLuci n Carl love their cooked carrots too!! :)
