HOW DARE IT!

Apache Junction, AZ  H 84 L 55

snow

My good friend, Judy, sent me this picture this morning. This is her back yard in Billings, MT where we are headed. As much as the heat down here in Arizona can be pretty miserable, I would much rather be in the heat then in the snow and cold. So I told Judy that she had to make sure the sun was out and shining or I was not going to be happy.

Today is beautiful here in AZ. Almost perfect except a little windy. The lower temps make it easier to get the stuff done that’s on our list to get out of here.

Went to dinner last night with Don Faye. Faye had her spleen removed a week ago and feels better than she has in years. I am so happy for her. Their doctors have also released them to get out of town next week.

Jim has been torquing and lubing and straightening and who knows what else so we will be ready to leave Wednesday morning. I’ve been reading. All the stuff I need to do (laundry, putting everything away, grocery shopping, etc.) will all be done on Monday and Tuesday.

  4. Have a safe trip to Billings but.....snow? Snow? Are you kidding me? I never want to see that stuff again. Well, maybe I could stand seeing a few flurries but no accumulation on the ground.

  9. Oregon is nice!! We had a little rain but it's not hot and it's not cold - just perfect. Hope all the snow is gone by the time you reach your destination.

  10. Carrie just left Helene, MO, yesterday. We will have to ask her if there was any snow up that way.

Maybe you want to take it nice and slow going back home. Give the snow time to move on.

Tell Jim not to overdo it. He still has several days to get ready. Enjoy your holiday weekend.

  11. And now for a differing opinion, wIth snow you can stay inside, wIth cold you can add layers. But with heat there is only so much you can or should delayer if you want to stay modest.
