Apache Junction, AZ High 88 Low 58 - perfect
When we arrived back in the Valley in September we had several days of rain. Even though they received lots of rain this summer, even more was welcome since the drought is so bad. We had some beautiful clouds and you all know how much I love sky pictures.
Can you see the airplane in this picture? Just right of the bright sun.
We went to the races one night with Ginny and Mickey. We have a race track just south of us a few miles but they are shutting it down so that a housing development can be built. Just what we need, more houses and people to go along with no water in our reservoirs. The building going on around here in Apache Junction is incredible.
We had a great time watching the cars go around and around. But their speakers weren't working (and I'm sure they don't want to spend any money on them) and there was a lot of waiting around for something. But since we couldn't hear anything we didn't know what was happening.
We had a beautiful view of the sun setting.
Paul has arrived and will be spending his first winter in his new house down by Florence. Jim and I drove down to see the house and have dinner. It's beautiful and I'm sure he will be really happy.
We've had several repairs made on the Cottage (awning, water leak, toilet valve, etc.). But it really feels good to be back enjoying the absolutely amazing weather and watching our park fill up with friends who went north for the summer. Now we're waiting for our Canadian neighbors to get here. They plan on being in line at the border on November 8, to come down.
I love this picture of Todd. Feel like it's been forever since we've seen him and Michaela, but it's only been a couple of months.
And this is exactly how I feel. (not sure who to give credit to but I love it.)
Hoping the weather continues to get better for you both.
ReplyDeleteHave to agree with that Eagle.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
The month just flew by didn't it. There are so many new homes around here also, where there was once miles of desert it is no more. The weather is at that season where it goes up and down. Sure glad I had my furnace tuned on.
ReplyDeleteThat eagle photo says it all some days! It's so dang cold up here right now I have to make myself walk Emmi! Soon we will be joining you in the warm country!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree Sandie, the weather and the skies have been so incredibly perfect here in AZ. I love races and followed NASCAR for along time. We never made it to Phoenix Speedway. Back in the day, we didn’t mind the crowds, but don’t really enjoy them anymore. It’s not a COVID thing…just old I guess! The Eagle sums it up although I do feel a sense of “you go girl” when I get done! 👍
ReplyDeleteGreat picture of the eagle, it is the poster child for the way many of us are feeling right now.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing to me how many houses are being built in Arizona in spite of a 20 year drought. Do they think the water fairy will come and make everything ok? I do not understand the logic path, other than the developers want to make money and then leave.
ReplyDeleteGlad your friends are rolling in. Have a good winter.
Haha, love the 'walking' picture.. that is right!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have the winter off to a good start
ReplyDeleteLove the Eagle. Hahaha. Some days I'm like that to. The pictures are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOh, that eagle!!! Like the picture of Todd, too. Wish we had your weather. :)
