Apache Junction, AZ High 63 Low 41
We have been back in Apache Junction for a month now and life is pretty much our normal now – doctor appointments for all four of us, catching up with our neighbors and friends who are in the area.
So far the doctor appointments are going great. Jim has a nodule in his right lung (he had the lower lobe of his left lung removed in 2012 because of cancer) and the oncologist keeps a really close eye on it. No change in that nodule which is great news. Check it again in before we head out next summer.
The pups had blood work done and are doing great considering how old they are and their heart problems. Skittlez is beyond happy to be home and hates to have to go anywhere. Rocky is happy as long as he’s with Jim.
Our neighbors and good friends, Ginny and Mickey, lost their cockatiel to a heart attack. They had DOC 28 years and he was spoiled rotten and loved beyond words. He will be missed by all of us.
We still have several doctor appointments before Christmas but hope to also fit in some fun times.
Our weather has been about perfect. We did get some rain last night and a cold front moved through and our high for today is only 61. But that’s pretty good considering what other parts of the country are dealing with.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I fixed a turkey for Jim and I and we loved all the left overs. Now it’s back to trying to figure out what to have for dinner every night.
Glad you did an update. We've been soooooo busy but still hoping to connect with you later this week ... hoping.... hoping.
ReplyDeleteLike the way the way you've been keeping us updated. Hoping all those Doctor's appointments are keeping you all healthy. We are hoping to see some updates and just maybe our paths will cross down the road.
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
Hope to hear all the rest of you Dr. visit go well. Maybe tomorrow with the warmer Temps I well put out some Christmas decorations.
ReplyDeleteAh, we will miss Doc too. Give Ginny and Mickey a hug from me.
ReplyDeleteNice to hear from you again and glad all is going well.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are settling in for winter in the desert
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear you both (and the pups) are right as rain. Life goes on, sometimes without drama, which is very much a good thing. :c)
ReplyDeleteYeah! An update. Sounds like you are a healthy bunch. Great that the weather is perfect for you. Enjoying December and the Christmas spirit.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update, my how the doctor appointments just keep coming.
ReplyDeleteSince I am new, I have to get to know you, which I am looking forward to doing.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your precious dog. Keep well.
It does seem that as soon as we become stationary, the doctors' appointments begin taking over the calendar. Glad you had a respite from the dreaded "what's for dinner?"
ReplyDeleteBack here. Good news all around.
ReplyDeleteYour header is a real heart-melter. Their begging eyes! It is hard to see them get old. My gr-daughters lost their first 2 dogs from age. Now they have Lucy Goosey, a dog that bounds around.
I'm behind in blog reading. I'm going to have to go back and find out who Rocky is. Glad you're doing well.
