I took these pictures the day after our terrible storm. This is the street and sidewalk that was underwater.
This house lost some siding. I was sure glad the guys got Todd’s siding fixed before the storm or it really could have been bad. A house down the street lost most of a tree but it didn’t fall on their house.
We were supposed to get another storm the next night but it broke up and went around us. I am so grateful.
Finished up doctor appointments on Monday – Jim’s eyes, my mammogram and bone density scan. So glad that is all done for another year.
We are heading out of town this morning. Time to get those wheels rolling. We said goodbye to the kids and we are already looking forward to seeing them again next year.
We’re head for Butte for our first stop tonight. We’re going to see my great niece Tara and her boyfriend Eric. Then we’re headed west and eventually south. See you on the road.
That's the kind of storms we have ... trees damaging houses and cars... scary.
ReplyDeleteGlad you all are rollin' ... nothing like it ;) plus you got all your tests done. free as little ol birds... living as you please.... hey to the kids ~ back next year and on to new adventures.
SIGH
H.ave a great (and safe) trip south
ReplyDeleteSafe travels dear friends. And thanks a ton...we are getting all your rain.
ReplyDeleteSo thankful all tests are done and good! Roll on in peace our friend! Looking forward to visiting with you, if you can make it. I does seem strange that everyone is heading or starting to head south while we are headed back to Indiana for Dr. Appts. But, have no fear, we will be back in the southwest in December.
ReplyDeleteGlad the storm wasn't worse--although it obviously was a BAD one. Glad also that the next one missed you all.
ReplyDeleteWe are going through a hot and dry period here.. We've had a fairly mild summer and lots of rain. BUT--the past few weeks have totally reversed. We need some rain now (NOT storms --but just gentle rain)... I don't want MUCH, do I???? ha ha
Be careful on the road ---but have a wonderful time.
Hugs,
Betsy
Those photos are something, I'll bet everyone was praying their thanks when the next storm passed by.
ReplyDeleteNice to finish the doctor's appointments. I'm always glad when mine are done for the year.
You'll be happy to return to warm, dry weather this year, that's for sure. I was just researching Arizona and it looks like it will be back in the 80's the second week of October.
We're having cloudy, rainy, cooler weather here all week - of course that's why I'm researching AZ weather. It's been a great spring/summer in New Mexico, but I'm ready to move on - can't wait to be back in Arizona. :)
Safe travels sent your way!
ReplyDeleteWish all my medical was done. Of course, if I'd been better about making the appointments... :) Glad you passed all your tests with flying colors.
ReplyDeletetravel safe!
ReplyDeleteGood to get all those doctor's appointments behind you. I hope to get there someday, too. :c)
ReplyDeleteSafe travels and enjoy the journey.
ReplyDeleteI bet you were excited to get on that road too. Hope you have an uneventful trip south.
ReplyDeleteGood for you getting all that out of the way. We do all that in Mesa, but you probably have better doctors. :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a safe and great trip south.
ReplyDeleteTake it easy... 200 miles a day.... You got all winter to get there.... I know... Jim's Doctor appointments... But it will be a long winter before Q... Rod
ReplyDeleteGlad you survived the storm safely, enjoy your journey south.
ReplyDeleteGood to be on the road isn't it?
