RAIN, RAIN, GLORIOUS RAIN

Helena, MT   High 80  Low 58

We actually had about an hour’s worth of nice steady rain. You could just see the earth rejoicing as it drank it all in. However, our days of nice temperatures end today. Tomorrow back up into the 90’s with no signs of rain after today.

Since the rains usually come in the afternoon, Jim has been out fishing every morning. (I sure am tired of getting up at 5:00 a.m. lol) He brought home four nice walleyes yesterday.

I’ve been playing chauffer for my sister to a bunch of dentist appointments. She hates to drive – absolutely hates it and always has. My brother also doesn’t like to drive, maybe doesn’t hate it as much as Judy, but still doesn’t like it. So what happened to me??? I love getting behind the wheel and going somewhere, anywhere, even to the store. Talk about being the odd child out in the family.

Have been visiting with more old friends and hope to see more this week.

That’s about it from here. I’m still having a terrible time with my internet connection so I struggle to read blogs and comment when I can.

  4. We are hoping for some rain tonight. The land is pretty parched here too. I don't think it will be a very good year for the farmers here in Iowa. I love to drive too and I just don't do as much now that we areon the road. Trying to change that.

  5. Our rain left about the time the Weavers pulled out! You think that might have something to do with it. It's been gorgeous and we love it that way. I get tired of driving and sometimes get tired of going. However, I also get tired of not going. Go figure.

  6. We are so envious of your rain. We did get a little, enough to make puddles and mud but as you say, 90 degrees will dry it out again.

  8. Did you go out and stand in the rain? it can be wonderful under the right conditions and it sounds like you may have had them.

(You can treat that as a rhetorical question if you'd like given your internet status.)

  9. In the last 37 days we have had two little thunder storms and all the days had temps of 90 or above 12 of which were over 100, if you can send some rain this way the grass at the Ranch looks like a desert. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna..

  10. I'm thinking you should come and drive my rig for me. Driving is what I like the least about this lifestyle. :)
