We are hitched up and ready to leave early in the morning. Not sure how far we’ll get tomorrow but we want to be in Albuquerque on Saturday.
I just know that if I wish hard enough that toy will levitate itself up to me.
The boat is put away for the summer. John and Peg let us park it in their carport which is sure nice. That really helps protect it from the monsoons and the haboobs.
I spent several hours yesterday at the hospital with Dianna. She had a nodule in her right lung that needed to have a biopsy. She saw the doctor today and found out she has Valley Fever. I know that’s serious but we are really grateful that it isn’t cancer. She will go on six months worth of medication and have regular visits with her doctor. She feels great and they caught it early enough she should be just fine.
It’s hard to believe it’s 100 degrees outside when she just has to bury herself under the quilt.
Dogs are funny that way. Our poodle likes to wear t shirts or sweaters year round
ReplyDeleteSafe travels!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels.
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping you can dodge any bad weather along your route north. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteHappy trails to youuuuu. Be safe. Tell Skittles it will be fine. How neat you have cover for the boat. A blessing.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good thing about Diana. Drive safe and careful!
ReplyDeleteDrive safe. If you're coming up here, the weather is nice, but the winds come up in the afternoon, so get on the road early.
ReplyDeletesafe travels tomorrow!!!

Have a safe trip!
ReplyDeleteYea...on the road again. Enjoy the trip. Have a safe one.
ReplyDeleteHope you were able to leave as scheduled. Guess I thought Valley Fever was gone - hope she gets well soon. At least now she knows what she is up against. Jim is going to miss the boat - lucky though that he has such a nice parking space.
ReplyDeleteEmmi looks at balls like that--she just knows if she stares long enough someone is going to throw that ball. Glad Dianna got a "good" diagnosis.
ReplyDeleteAwww...the boat looks lonely! We sure hated to store ours away when we left the Keys.
ReplyDeleteValley Fever sure is scary! But better than cancer (phew!).
ReplyDeleteHope your blast off goes according to plan, it's been a long wait. Have fun, we're following along to see what kind of trouble, er, fun you get into. ;c)
Save journey!
ReplyDeleteYou know, just yesterday we said "we know two people that have had Valley Fever". Now it's three people and more dogs than we can count.
ReplyDeleteGood to be on the road, eh?
You are a good friend - once again - taking a friend and waiting there with her while at the Hospital. Glad she is ok.
ReplyDeleteOf course the toy will levitate within her reach - by way of one of her trained humans.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your friend. Although it's certainly better than cancer, Valley Fever's no picnic.
Happy Trails!
