Jim’s doctor’s appointment went well today. They cardiologist gave him a B and told him to get out and do more walking. However, she also wanted blood work done and he had to be fasting. So we aren’t leaving tomorrow as planned.
After watching the weather, I think that is a smart move. Northern Arizona is under a high wind warning tomorrow so we probably wouldn’t be headed out anyhow. Hopefully Friday morning we’ll be on the road. At least almost everything is done and I’ll have time to do one more load of laundry.
Skittlez is getting nervous with all the packing up activity and threw up a couple of times yesterday. I spent a lot of time calming her down and today she seems to be okay. She does not like to get ready to travel. When we finally get on the road she settles down and sleeps. Scooter doesn’t get very upset – she just wants to chase rabbits.
That’s about it from here.
Skittlez sure doesn't look very nervous in that photo! ;)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear Jim got a B...I would not want to be traveling in all that wind either.
ReplyDeleteOne of our pups knows before we do that we are moving...it's Sally and she starts hiding a few days before we leave and won't eat! Like Skittllez, once we are in the road she is ok!
All three of the Traveling Longdogs are thrilled to go on the road. The RV pulls up in the driveway and they want out there NOW. They try to sneak out the door and race to the truck or the 5th wheel if the door is open. Glad Jim's news was good. Watch out for that wind.
ReplyDeleteSometimes things work out for the best. Stay out of the wind!
ReplyDeleteWind? No way. Good idea to stay put, even if Jim can't snack tonight. :c)
ReplyDeleteYour dogs are so funny, I just want to rub that tummy! As soon as I start even looking like I'm packing up, Katie is in her seat and ready to go. It was actually pretty windy here today. Will it every STOP?
ReplyDeleteAnd here I thought it was just New Mexico that was windy. Congrats on the B, Jim!
ReplyDeleteGreat news about Jim! Smart move to stay put for another day.
ReplyDeleteFully understand you guys not wanting to drive in those stron AZ winds. Between the wind and dust it's just too dangerous out there. Be safe and have a fun.
ReplyDeleteDriving our home on wheels in the wind is definitely NO FUN !
ReplyDeleteBennie gets nervous also when he sees me moving around too much. They are so smart those fur babies of ours.
Good for Jim! I'd be staying put, too. I don't drive if the wind gusts will be more than 20 mph.
ReplyDeleteThankful that Jim's appointment went well. Now, get out there and walk! Sandie, you need to get those screws out so you can walk with Jim. Just sayin.
ReplyDeleteForgot to tell ya that Oliver and Olivia get all excited when we do the pre-move routine. They love traveling. Poor Skittlez.
DeleteDogs are funny:) haley was very unhappy as we packed for our trip.
ReplyDeleteJust love the dog photos! Hilarious. Hope the blood work comes out good.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear Jim came out ok on his report. We need to start walking more, too!
ReplyDeleteGood news on the doctor report. I don't blame you for staying put. Driving in wind is no fun.
ReplyDeleteOur cats get nervous when we start packing but are fine once we get there.
