Thursday

Apache Junction, AZ   RAIN!!!

A couple of people suggested moving the Verizon jet pack to different places. We had already moved it all over the rig. We even have a Wilson antenna that didn’t make any difference. Then we had Ginny bring over her jet pack and her computer that work perfectly at her site. Guess what – she could barely get one bar in our site and her Verizon was limited.

I like to get up in the morning, turn on the computer and check out blogs and pay bills and whatever before I even think about getting dressed. So taking the computer to somewhere else in the park just is not going to work for me. While we are using MediaCom, I reduce our gigabytes on our Verizon plan to either 2 or 4 which helps to pay for the MedicaCom.

Thursday afternoon Jim and Marv went fishing. They caught fish but nothing worth keeping. They had a great time.

I got the laundry done and then I had company. Rod  stopped by. I was so happy to see him. We had a great visit and we have made plans to get together in the near future.

Thursday night the rain came down, and down, and down, and down. Record rainfall. Good thing we have the boat.

  1. I think the fish had a better time! :cD

Wish someone would come up with a fool proof Internet connection. I feel your pain.

  2. Isn't it ridiculous how the coverage varies so drastically from one location to another? I like my computer access but when I'm camping or traveling I just figure there will be days when I'm not able to connect. It really isn't so bad if you get yourself into the proper mindset.

  3. We were in a Campground in St. David Arizona two years ago and had problems with our internet. Seemed to work almost everywhere except our site, so after checking things out, we just moved down 5 campsites and then we had 4 bars of great internet for the balance of our stay.

  5. It is amazing that there is that big a difference in your connection speed. Glad you have a backup.

  6. Do you have an amplifier to go with the Wilson antenna? We have found that some places we really need the amplifier to bring in a better signal. Or, maybe I should say, to get any signal at all.

  7. Sorry to hear about the Internet connection problems. We are camping at Cave Creek this weekend and had nothing but rain on the roof all night long. Some people like the sound, just keeps me awake. :-(

  8. Tell Jim to hook those fish! We want a fist fry this winter!

  9. Your last comment made me laugh. Then I wondered if you could come rescue me if it floods. :)

My net is slow in this site. When I come back here in a couple of weeks I'm gong to a different site. Just too irritating to have slow day after day. Can you move?

  10. Rain, rain, go away. At least we aren't getting the predicted wind.

  11. I've tried several boosters and amplifiers for the internet and none of them help for an extended period of time. I hope the rain stops soon before it causes problems.

  12. Your morning routine sounds just like mine and it's a bummer with a bad signal.
