What would life be like without good friends? Very empty. So I am extremely grateful for the wonderful people who are a part of my life.
Two of those dear friends showed up in our park yesterday morning. We met Toni and Doug in Quartzsite in January 2010 and have been able to spend time with them every year since. They are from British Columbia so they are restricted to six months in the USA.
We let them set up (sort of) and then we picked them up and headed up to Superior, AZ. We were going to meet up with Paul and have those fabulous hamburgers at Porter’s.
This was Doug’s hamburger.

Good food, good friends, good times!!
Wow, I'm hungry!
ReplyDeleteI thought you and Jim were here in Q the other day. Denise and I were in my old site and a jeep pulled up with a couple in it. We were saying, who is that??? I said, It's Sandi and Jim! Turns out it was the couple across the road wondering (again) if I needed help because my hood was up. They are great, and he's really handy like Jim! It was nice to see them, but it would also have been nice if it had been you and Jim. :)
Hard to beat having good burgers with good friends:)
ReplyDeleteThat sure looks like a good burger.
ReplyDeleteWish we could make it out there for a burger with you, Still trying to talk Donna into an Arizona trip. Sam & Donna.......
ReplyDeleteBurger you call that? Meal is closer to what it looks like.
ReplyDeleteThat was some lunch! So nice to share your days with good friends!
ReplyDeleteLooks like another wonderful time. A little jealous here :)
ReplyDeleteThat sure looks like a good burger, especially the pickle!! Love a good pickle with my burger.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great looking burger and pickle. I love great pickles.
ReplyDeleteSo much fun visiting with friends and the burger looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right...good friends are priceless!!! Glad you were able to meet up and enjoy some good times together!!!
ReplyDeleteThat was one skookum-looking hamburger!!
ReplyDeleteFun that you guys got together with Toni and Doug. Feels like there is a migration of sorts, everyone moving slowly but surely from north to south. We are getting closer to you and, if you will be in AJ around the 18th or so we would like to meet up. Plan at this point is to go to Payson by next weekend, then to Roosevelt Lake and on your way. Might that work for a visit?
ReplyDeletePlanning the little get togethers in the winter are really something we all look forward to. Glad you got to spend time together over a great little meal.
ReplyDeleteThere's a possibility I might be headed your way Monday. Are you feeling inundated yet?
ReplyDeleteNo doubt about it--friends add so much to our lives. We've never met in person, but I suspect that you are a good friend and it's that, that is being reciprocated by others.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love our Winter get-togethers !
ReplyDeleteReally like a good burger.
