HO HUM

I’m bored. The price of fuel is ridiculous. I can’t face working on our tax return any longer. Jim and the girls are taking naps. That’s about it from here.

  1. My sentiments exactly! But I started on the kitchen (taking a break now) and I just don't enjoy it like I did before. I guess when I get finished with the prep and start painting.... My daughter does my tax return every year, but I need to light a fire under her so I get my refund before I leave for NY. It might get me half way across the country, or more likely a third.

  2. I agree! Here in Portland, you blink and the price of gas goes up. We have a tax lady, but I have a whole lot of filing to do before i can take the paper work over to her. Hate is a pretty harsh word I know but I HATE filing!!!! Which is the reason the paper pile is so high!! My husband and a friend of his are gone for the day to a huge model train show at the expo center downtown Portland. It is grey outside, but I have a pretty bouquet of daffodils from my flower garden sitting in a little vase by my chair, a fire in the fireplace, a great cup of coffee and I'm watching a Hallmark movie.
So glad your honey is recovering nicely.

  3. Come on now...get that chin up! Jim's home, the kids are doing fine and you have warm weather. I need to teach you how to make pine needle baskets when I get there. That will keep you so busy, you will need more than 24 hours in one day!HEHEHE ~wheresweaver

  4. I hate getting the papers together for tax time, too. I procrastinate every year. For some unknown reason, it depresses me. Jack and I are on the couch begging and watching TV.

  5. After all the years you worked for the IRS it's no wonder you're sick of taxes. Find a couple of comedy movies and laugh out loud!!

  6. I love it! Sometimes it's just a Ho Hum day. But sometimes Ho Hum days are really nice. :)

  7. Sandie, I agree about the gas prices, what does it help ruining your day. Join the breakfast gang and forget you troubles!

  9. Okay I have the solution. Send in all the money you made last year. Then, file an extension. That way you don't have to face the paperwork until later in the year.

  10. I hear ya! Did a layout of the papers on the dining room table some weeks ago and have ignored it all since! I'm always the one who has to have everything at hand before Craig does them.

  11. Dave and I used to take turns doing the taxes. It's been his turn for years now. :)

It sounds to me like you need a new computer game. That works for me. :)

  12. Waiting for all the tax forms and documents via the mail forwarding service makes the chore even mor unbearable.

  17. It was a ho-hum day for us too. At least I don't have to worry about Tax Returns until we get home in April.

  20. I remember the prices being up around this before and no one thought they would ever go down again but they did. I'm not planing on that but I haven't lost hope. We'll just adjust as we go.

  21. Sure can identify with you about the boredom thing. Happens to me big time every year after we get home when our travels are over for another 7 long months. Ho Hum days are OK every once & awhile but more than 2 Ho Hums in row can easily lead to some moody days for me.......
