Apache Junction, AZ High 97 Low 64
We had 41 folks show up for coffee and donuts this morning. I was surprised there were that many of us left. The park really looks empty and all of the activities are over with.
Jim and Marv went fishing. They didn’t sink the boat but they also didn’t bring home any fish. Jim is really looking forward to his walleye fishing this summer.
Dianna got her rig back today from the repair shop from the accident she had in January. We went over so Jim could help her get it parked and set up in storage. Afterwards we went to lunch at Lin’s Chinese Buffet. We liked the one in Yuma and we wanted to try this one out. It was really good.
Last Saturday we took an Easter basket to Aunt Happy with her favorite yogurt covered pretzels. The new humidifier we got her had quit working and their maintenance man told to send it back. Jim took a look at it and it started working just fine. Happy said she was going to tell the maintenance man to stick with working on furnaces.
It’s a tough life for an old dog.
Jim has got the major modifications to the Bungalow finished. He still has a bunch of smaller projects to work on but we’re still on track to leave the valley on the 15th.
We’ve had lots of clouds around lately. Sure wish some of them would produce rain for this poor state. Had to share this picture with you.
We are just plugging along.
nothing wrong with plugging away!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have the same hot weather that TX has, I can't wait to get up North.
ReplyDeleteNot sinking the boat is very good:)
ReplyDeleteTaking it easy is good, and nice that the bungalow is just about done.
ReplyDeleteYou two are so good at keeping Aunt Happy happy! Can't wait to hear about further mods to the Bungalow. Glad Jim didn't go swimming--hope he catches lots of fish this summer!
ReplyDeleteYou'll be on the road with the Bungalow before you know it. We're positive Jim will have good news from his appointments.
ReplyDeleteCan't remember if I asked this before or not, but will the Bungalow have a fishing theme as well?
ReplyDeleteJim certainly has the magic touch! :c)
ReplyDeleteI enjoy Aunt Happy's attitude! And nice photos too!
ReplyDeleteNice to just keep plugging away sometimes. Nice photo of the clouds!
ReplyDeletePlugging along is a good way to live. It gets us where we want to be without exhausting us along the way.
ReplyDeleteMost of us plug along and it gets us right where we need to be.
ReplyDeleteEven if JIm didn't catch any fish, he probably enjoyed the day very much. It's hot in Arizona and time to leave that state for sure.
ReplyDeleteWe miss you. Hug the girls and Jim for us. One for you too. [[[[[[HUG]]]]]]]
ReplyDeleteCute doggie belly picture...and I liked the one of the clouds too.
ReplyDeleteGlad your "2nd home" is finished and Jim sure did a nice job of getting it like you want it!
ReplyDeleteA High of 97 degrees. Oh my, I sure wouldn't be able to handle it that hot.
ReplyDeleteI love Lin's Chinese Buffet ! Went back there again another time after the time we went there.
I wish it would rain too. There was a 20% chance of showers last week and I think a few drops fell. Folks get real excited around here when it might rain!
ReplyDeleteOh, no...I dread the heat of the summer. Aunt Happy looks great. How fortunate she is to have you and Jim. :) Pats to the pups!
ReplyDeleteSo you are leaving the Valley on the 15th... Where do you go next? Seems as if you all have special places you like to go back to each year --with loads of friends from all over. What a life... That is SO neat!!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad the guys didn't sink the boat this time --but sorry they didn't catch any dinner for you all.....
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy
I wish I could take my stuff that doesn't work right to Jim. It sounds like he just looks at things and they are fixed.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see your companies! Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteA bad day fishing ...
ReplyDeletestick with working on furnaces … Hahaaa… good to see Aunt Happy being back to her old self! and your girls are in fine fettle! and Jim is happy and you're happy because everyone else is happy … if only the clouds would cooperate … lol… It's always something… pretty clouds picture, however ….
ReplyDelete'morning, Sandie ;)
