We stayed up with Ginny and Mickey to watch the lunar eclipse tonight.
What a great experience. These were taken with my little point and shoot camera and I think Jim did a great job.
And now to bed. Goodnight.
From NASA - We'll never again for the rest of our lives see a total eclipse of the moon on the same night as the closest approach of a bright planet like Mars.
Wonderful pictures thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots~~~
ReplyDeleteCool. Good on ya for actually posting that. I would have headed straight for bed.
ReplyDeleteWow! It's beautiful! Love the pic of the two of you huddled under your blanket!
ReplyDeleteStayed up, clouds covered up just before it started, went to bed.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately our skies were filled with clouds and rain...no look at the Blood Moon for us this time but hear it will happen again in 6 months...keeping our fingers crossed for then. Great photos!
ReplyDeletenice job on the pictures...no blood moon photos here..sleeping instead!
ReplyDeleteYup, Add me to the list of folks who would have gone to bed. LOL
ReplyDeleteI stayed up too. That was really something.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the moon shots. It was rainy here last night but I would have gone to bed anyway :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! Mine didn't come out well at all, but it sure was beautiful to watch.
ReplyDeleteThe IRS has already mastered getting blood from a stone, now I see it's on to bigger things, getting blood from the moon on Tax Day! :cD
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of the eclipse. We ran out of gas before the blood moon was full. We were watching Forrest Gump and running outside on commercials to take photos and check the progress.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got to enjoy this. Here in NJ, we had rain and overcast skies. Lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteOh what a treat. Your photos are fabulous. I bet seeing it in person was amazing. We had rain yesterday and snow this morning...YUCK! No viewing for us this time. Hopefully, we will get to see it in October.
ReplyDeleteThose are great pics. I wish I was up that late to see it for myself. But I gotta work :-(
ReplyDeleteSlept right through the entire experience.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! I think tax day and blood seem to work in the same sentence:)
ReplyDeleteoh missed seeing the girls POP up when I click on your blog.. HAHaaa… jeeeeez that's so cute…
ReplyDeleteWell, shoot! it was stormy and FREEZING here in LIttle Rock last night… couldn't believe it… well, yes, I can.. .crazies dadblasted winter I've ever seen in my 71 years… does that mean I've lived through 72 winters. yes, it does because I was one years on my first birthday… ha
Well! don't you all look comfy cozy… what fun! and great pictures, Sandie!
Good for you! And GREAT shots! I went to bed, woke up and looked out the window and it was dark, so I went back to sleep. Little did I know that meant the Blood Moon was up there. When I woke up an hour and a half later, I looked out the window and there was a bright moon. I went outside with my camera, just in case, and it was just a plain ole full moon. I had missed it. GRRRRRR
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, now I wish I would have gone out and watched.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm glad SOMEBODY got some great shots of the blood moon. Way to go, Jim and Sandie!
ReplyDeleteI didn't stay up for it - your shots are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAmazing photos with a "little point and shoot!!"
ReplyDeleteYou all so snug waiting on the Blood Moon. It was cloudy and very wet here so we saw nothing!! Great pics!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful clippings.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots!! I tried to stay up but didn't make it. We will certainly see you again before we leave.
