Does anyone out there know of any place where Danny and Shula could store their RV from November 2014 to June of 2015 in the Houston area?
Danny and Shula are from Israel and RV in the USA during the summer. Check out their blog at Danny and Shula.
Thank you. I appreciate any help you can give them.
We went with Aunt Happy to her doctor’s appointment yesterday and she is doing great. Her new pacemaker battery will last 6 to 9 years and I won’t be surprised if she lives that long. She doesn’t want to but she is so healthy.
Last Sunday she went to a concert over at Leisure World and had a great time. Sunday she got tired of waiting for someone to be with her in the bathroom while she takes her shower and just did it by herself. That means she has to climb in and out of the bathtub by herself. She is determined.
Went to lunch with Ginny and Mickey today at Golden Corral so I could enjoy the chocolate fountain. Only one small problem, my allergies are going crazy and I took two allergy pills this morning. Big mistake. For one thing anything with a decongestant in it really sets off my Restless Legs and I know better. But the other issue was I could hardly stay awake. Won’t do that again.
Jim and John (our 91 year old neighbor) are fishing this afternoon. Hopefully John will catch something.
I don't know of any but I'm sure if they put Google to work, they would be able to come up with quite a few places that store RVs.
ReplyDeleteHow's Jim doing with getting the new trailer ready for you guys to travel in ? Was also wondering where do you have it ?
ReplyDeleteGo, Aunt Happy, go!
ReplyDeletePaul and I never paid much attention to any storage areas in Houston. I agree with Jeri about using the Internet.
ReplyDeleteI want to be Aunt Happy when I grow up!!!
I hate restless legs. It is torture! I hope you can stay away from them.
ReplyDeleteThat Aunt Happy. Love her spunk!
ReplyDeleteI'll check with another volunteer here that stores her rig when she goes to Maine each summer. How soon do you have to know?
ReplyDeleteI hope he catches plenty. Is he getting hitch itch to try the travel trailer. You could always come over here.
ReplyDeleteGlad that Aunt Happy is still healthy, feisty, and independent! So nice that you and Jim look after her.
ReplyDeleteI just googled RV storage Houston and it came up with a bunch of choices.
Hope Jim catches a big one.
I hope the fishing was good.
ReplyDeleteNice that Aunt Happy is doing well and I just know the fishing will be good.
ReplyDeleteDid they catch any fish? Sounds like Aunt Happy is pretty independent!!
ReplyDeleteThey need to invent longer life batteries for Aunt Happy. She's quite an inspiration (and aptly named, too)! :c)
ReplyDeleteI don't live anywhere close to Houston. Good luck with the hunt.
ReplyDeleteOh, I remember determined--Dave's Dad on the train not being willing to wait 10 minutes until we got to a station to brush his teeth! I thought he'd fall over for sure and I'd never be able to get him up on my own. Independence can be good but also scary.
ReplyDeleteglad to have an update on Aunt Happy ... I have a cyber pal I'll message ask about a place to store the RV. she lives in the Houston area.
ReplyDeleteJust heard back from her, Sandie... it's Cyn... you know her, right? ... anyway here's what she said ...
DeleteThere are alot of storage places in the Houston area. Depends on where in Houston they want to store it? There is a nice new place down the road from me that just opened recently. Not Houston, but the Katy/Fulshear area. Nearly every storage place here stores RV's too, but this place, the owners also live there. They took a big hunk of their property to turn it into an RV storage area. Have even been building covered areas for those that want their RV's under cover. I can try to get the website tomorrow if you like. I can't remember what they call it.
She hasn't updated her blog in eons! I'll let you know or she will ...
It would sure be great to be spunky and healthy like Aunt Happy--that's my life's goal! I've found nettle capsules to be very effective for my seasonal allergies. They're sold at our local food co-op but you could probably find them at Super Supplements, etc. When I'm going to be outside I take 2 in the morning & 1 at bedtime, otherwise I take 1 twice a day. Nice to take something natural.
ReplyDeleteAllergies? I didn't know. I saw a Chocolate fountain at Walmart for $39.99
ReplyDeleteAllergies, that time if the year
