I convinced Jim that we were going on a self-guided tour of Quartzsite’s Public Art Event. Sixteen rocks have been painted by local artists and are located at different places all over Q. Our goal – all sixteen rocks. Goal was met.
Please enjoy.
This last one is located at the VFW Post in Quartzsite.
Very interesting and unusual.
ReplyDeleteThey are lovely. I love doing stuff like this. I made Paul take me all over several cities to find all the painted sheep, goats, presidents, etc. He wasn't too excited but was happy I was.
ReplyDeleteThose are so neat I love it..
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun tour!
ReplyDeleteHi Sandie.....see you guys are still In Q. Went there a few years ago....they didn't have the painted rock tour then....maybe it is something new....I know they are trying to grow the population there. teeheee

I'm glad you've found other activities since the Big Show ended to stay out of trouble! ;c)
ReplyDeleteLove those rocks! Miss you terribly.
ReplyDeleteWonderful rock art! I like it better than the painted cows, sharks, hearts, and who knows what other places have done.
ReplyDeleteI think we will go and do that tour.
ReplyDeleteWay cool! I'm sure it was a fun day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a unique canvas for the artists. :)
ReplyDeleteNice art, thanks for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteHave to do that next time. Beautiful and unique.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
So glad you enjoyed the artwork!
ReplyDeleteThe last one you showed was a designed specially for VFW by Mark Goldberg last year. There's one more at VFW of this year's art, "The Host Tree" by Linda Ward.
Thank you for sharing these talented folks.
The Rock Art will be auctioned off on Saturday, March 2nd to new loving homes. Funds raised support our local charitable organizations.
