Quartzsite, AZ High 57 Low 32
We are still in Quartzsite and my internet connection seems to get worse every day. Hopefully this will post. I also haven’t been able to read very many blogs. I keep getting knocked off the internet. So I am going to have to catch up with everybody when we get back to AJ.
Almost everybody from our group has moved out. Several of them went to Plamosa Road which is a free parking area north of Q. (It costs $40 for two weeks here.) We’ve been waiting for the correct hitch bolts to arrive at General Delivery in Blythe, CA so we decided to just stay put so Jim can finish fixing the hitch.
The bolts came in and Jim said it shouldn’t take more than a day to get everything done on the hitch.
It rained and rained and rained some more for a couple of days. Then we had a beautiful day and now it’s cold and windy again. The weather is supposed to start improving in a couple of days. I sure hope so.
We also had to dump. This is what the dump line has been like for about the last week. We were lucky and it only took us about an hour and a half. Notice that gray sky.
The storm clouds have made for some beautiful cloud formations and sunsets. The moon is also beautiful.
I’m not going to try and publish this to my blog. Fingers crossed.
The moon has been exceptional this month. I love the photo of the sun behind the mountains. Great job! Enjoy all the good friends.
ReplyDeleteGreat post. Hope your weather warms up again.
ReplyDeletebeautiful pictures... love the second one especially. That's a long potty line... jeeez I hate lines period. Anyone get out and chat? ew
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Pictures of the sky....i especially liked the clouds. What a long dumping line. Guess when you gotta go, you gotta go! Hope the weather warms up and you get the hitch issue fixed. Take care and enjoy!
ReplyDeletecrossing your fingers must have worked! nice recap today, Sandie..enjoy the time remaining in Q.
ReplyDeleteWe fail to understand the attraction of Quartzsite.
ReplyDeleteI have to keep reminding myself--it is January! Hope the hitch gets repaired and you get back to AJ safely!
ReplyDeleteThe more I read about Q,the less I want to attend.

ReplyDeleteLOVE CAROL AND SUNSHINE
I MIS-SPELLED SOMETHING ON MY COMMENT AND I CAN'T GET BACK IN TO CORRECT IT....DID YOU FIND IT? HA HA :~) LOVE CAROL AND SUNSHINE.
ReplyDeleteBLOGS NOT BOGS AND EITHER NOT WITHER
ReplyDeleteSORRY !!!!
LOVE CAROL AND SUNSHINE.
Well, the photo of that potty line-up leaves me just a little weak kneed. I would probably hold my breath & drive to Yuma or Alaska to dump........ Oh Dear:((
ReplyDeleteWe miss you lots and lots. Maybe you should come for a visit!
ReplyDeleteWe noticed a big difference between LaPosa and Plomosa with internet. It was almost nonexistent there and pretty dang good here.
ReplyDeleteThat picture with the puddle, surprised Jim didn't cast a line into it... ;c)
ReplyDeleteI'm getting lousy internet in downtown Parker, too. It was really good at Plamosa Road. I might go back. I like good internet but I also want electricity. Decisions; decisions.
ReplyDeleteI hope that the dump line is smaller now that I have to dump. I have waited several times in those 1 1/2 hour lines over the years.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos Sandie. Internet is working better this morning! Yeahhhh!
ReplyDeleteWasn't that a special sky at that sunset? Awesome. Sorry that we had to part so early, should liked to have been longer. But I hope to see you all again in the future. Thanks for having us at your bon-fires! By the way - I never got that dream ice cream. :((
ReplyDeleteHere Here for definitely better Internet on Plomosa Rd. I can even watch my TV Shows online.
ReplyDeleteSure is strange though knowing you guys are not just across the way.
Just realized I could find blog addressees from my own blog roll. On an iPhone so can't (or don't know how) to post. Have missed reading, but reading on the iPhone is a challenge. I was able to get to Sherry and David's blog last night to hear their good news, and Donna and Russ today, and you. Glad to find you And Jim well, Sandie. It's been a long haul and still have far to go but can't wait to be able to sit to use the computer. Hope you won't mind if I send my love to all the bloggers I read-I know this is a gathering place. :)
ReplyDeleteOops, pats to Scooter and Skitlez!
ReplyDeleteWe are getting your rain now. Your pictures are great.
ReplyDeleteHey it worked your blog is here! Gosh you guys have such beautiful skies there. Even in bad weather. Lucky you, :)
ReplyDeleteI check the dump station line ups and figure out a good time to get there with minimal wait, our longest was 25 minutes over the years. Good to get that hitch fixed.
ReplyDeleteThat picture looks like the line in the Ladies Room at a rock concert!! :-) Glad that you are both doing well. Love the pictures!
