RUDY’S AND A MOVIE

Yesterday, Jan and Bill brought us lunch from Rudy’s BBQ. They picked up some brisket and cole slaw and it was great. The brisket was so tender and tasty. Definitely a place we’ll visit again.

Can you tell who’s the soft touch in this group?

war-horseLast Friday we went to see War Horse with our friend Dianna. I find that as I’ve gotten older I prefer to just be entertained when I go to the movie. Movies like War Horse are just so emotionally draining for me. Especially when I’m in such a vulnerable condition as I am after Jim’s surgery. It was a really great movie and I’m glad we went. But I was so wrung out afterwards that I just wanted to go home and go to bed. Thank goodness it had a happy ending.

I did remember to take the camera with me this time and I want to show you what this move theater looks like. This is the $3 theater that is almost empty on a week-end afternoon – perfect!

  4. Neat looking theater and a great price. We love Rudy's Brisket, for the holidays we always have one shipped from there online store as we have none in this area. Their Sissy sauce is my favorite to go along with it.

  9. Quite a theater for sure. I love watching movies in the privacy of my own little RV. However, I don't really enjoy going to the movie theater. Maybe if they were all like that one though I'd want to check it out.

  12. We have started renting movies from Pay per view on Direct TV. Sunday night has become movie night and for $4.99 we can watch in the comfort of our living room. We saw War Horse and thought it was okay. Also saw 'We Bought A Zoo" and "Mission Impossible". Would be nice to have a theater thou that was $3.00. Miss the actual theater experience.
