AN OH NO AND SPAGHETTI

My internet is really hit or miss where we are parked out here in the desert, so I haven’t been able to post a comment on a lot of the blogs I’ve been reading. But it sounds like everyone had a wonderful New Year’s Eve. Some played until the midnight hour and others like us, celebrated with the East Coast and then went to bed.

New Year’s Eve day did not start out well for Terry and Jeri. They wanted to go to Blythe for groceries and started to drive off when Denise flagged them down. This is what stopped them in their tracks.

Jim helped them get it changed and off they went. We rounded up Denise and headed into Q. We needed some water filters and Denise was just going to look around. We found our water filters and Denise found treasures – some stakes to hold her solar lights and a new sign for her garage. We grabbed a bite to eat and then headed home.

spaghetti We have company. Lee arrived and parked next to us. Sure is good to see him again. It’s been a year. I promised him a spaghetti dinner and since I always make a big pot, I invited Denise and Terry and Jeri to join us. Denise had some good bread and desserts for us to enjoy.

spaghetti1 We sat around and enjoyed our dinner and then called it a day.

I did find some time to do my job of sitting in the sun.

  1. Bummer about the tire. I wonder if they picked up a nail?

Spaghetti sounds great - it's always good when you've got lots of people at the table. Glad you are settled in and having fun!

Happy New Year to you and Jim and the pups!

  4. Good thing the flat was spotted before they went too far. A big pot of spaghetti is always good and the leftovers are just as good.

  7. Happy New Year, and you have a great 2012. So nice to be with friends and enjoy good times as well as bad. Eating is always good. Flat tires are always bad.

  10. Spaghetti will fill the bill whenever you need a quick and easy to fix meal that will feed an Army. Whenever I fall asleep watching TV in the afternoon, when Donna calls and says what's for supper I'm leaving work, without even thinking I answer Spaghetti because I know I can have it ready when she gets home. That flat should be it for the year. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna...

  12. I'm sorry too, about the flat tire.....last one I had was when I was leaving work at 10P.M. from the telephone office quite a few years ago.......I've never changed a tire...I stopped a husband and wife out for a walk that nite and he changed it. I pulled over on the side of street and asked for help....I wasn't even sure where the spare tire was......that was about 20 years ago. And that was when I had the little Chevrolet Scooter....so Jim you know how many years ago that was..we bought it new and I loved that little car!
Sandie I sent some pics to you, on your email address, of our SUNRISE, or what I could get of it. You are just too good a photographer. I'm hit and miss, I'm handier with a crochet hook or a knitting needles in my hands and a lot of yarn. LUV you guys.
