Jim left me yesterday.
He had two doctor appointments in Scottsdale on Wednesday and the first one was at 7:00 a.m. We decided that he would go up to Scottsdale on Tuesday and stay in a motel (horrors) and I’d stay with the girls. So off he went.
His first appointment was with a cardiologist. We thought they would be doing a stress test but after visiting with Jim and reviewing his medical history she decided he needed some other special tests. That means that she would not clear him for his surgery on the 10th.
They scheduled his Echocardiogram and Nuclear Stress Test for the 12th and rescheduled his surgery for the 24th. The cardiologist doesn’t expect to find any problems but since Jim has had two by-passes, she wants to make sure he is completely ready for the surgery. I
I have been extremely impressed with the thoroughness of both the General Practitioner and the Cardiologist that we have found in AZ. In fact, they have been more thorough than our physicians in Billings. Makes me very happy.
What else makes me very happy is the fact that with these changes we don’t have to leave Quartzsite until Tuesday instead of this Saturday.
Linda and Ron arrived yesterday and we have two more rigs rolling in tomorrow.
Glad you found some great doctors on the road. That has always been a concern of mine with Russ's chronic health problems. Hope Jim's tests go well and his surgery comes off without a hitch.
ReplyDeleteSandie, you know how to catch our attention with your first sentence! ;)
ReplyDeleteYa, What an opening line !! LOL
ReplyDeleteGlad they are being thorough and its nice you get to spend a little more time with friends.
ReplyDeleteIt is a rare stroke of luck to find a good doctor when you travel, and I'm glad for you.
ReplyDeleteWhere are you camped? I got sucked in with your opening statement, too LOL!
ReplyDeleteYou sure scared me! Glad everything is okay.
ReplyDeleteI also am glad that they are taking ever precaution to be sure the surgery is a success. Enjoy your extended stay with friends.
ReplyDeleteGood way to grab our attention right off the bat!
ReplyDeleteHe left you for a doctor?
ReplyDeleteI know everything will turn out right. It has to!
ReplyDeleteI think you got all our attention with that opener! Hope that everything goes well for Jim - you'll both be in my prayers!
ReplyDeleteYup! Got my attention. Glad to hear you're happy with the medical care Jim's receiving. All the best!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear that you are pleased with the care that Jim has been receiving. That is comforting when you are traveling.
ReplyDeleteThe procedure will be successful - you have a lot of friends praying for you.
Glad that we are not planning on visiting Quartzsite this year. By the sounds of it all of the spaces will be filled with all of your friends ;-))
So if he is leaving you who gets the camper
ReplyDeleteHope everything goes well with the tests and surgery
It is always good when you can have confidence in you doctors, since that is not always the case. I am sure the tests will be good:)
ReplyDeleteGlad you are getting good care while out there on the road. It's scary to have health issues and be in new places and new doctors.

Every extra day with friends in the sun is a blessing. We will keep Jim in our thoughts as he braves the world for a lonely night without you! Take care
ReplyDeleteHmmm how to comment when I could just yell it out the window?
