I have been so busy sitting in the sun that I just haven’t done any blogging. So now it’s catch up time.
They rescheduled Jim’s surgery once again to January 31. His other surgery was scheduled for 4:00 p.m. and his doctor did not want him to be fasting that long. It is now at 7:00 a.m.
Somebody asked about our doggie prison. I can’t remember who and going back to check is almost impossible with my connection out here. It came put together like in the picture but it folds down flat. We didn’t have to put it together. Bought it at PetSmart. They don’t like it, but it keeps them safe and out of trouble.
We had our first campfire. Yahoo!! There is something so mesmerizing about a campfire. Lee starts the fire and Denise is the tender of the fire (or would that be Fire Queen).
We’ve had some more folks join us. Toni and Doug arrived. Check out their blog to see the problems they had getting here from Canada.
As you can tell, we are busy, busy, busy.
Yes. We've been busy, busy, busy. I think that's good. Tomorrow is the big migration day. Roll them out. Hope Jim's surgery goes well and I guess we'll see you next January. Ugh. That's a long time.
ReplyDeleteNow that's what I call a campfire!! Have to admit, the "girls" make cute little jail-birds.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice sizeable campfire. All the best with Jim's surgery.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update on Jim.
ReplyDeleteI remember those wonderful fires. Lee makes a mean fire!
Golly, we haven't had a campfire since mid-summer. Difficult to have one here, as we can't roll up the carpet. Your pictures show a delightful fire, big enough for several folks to gather 'round. Yay! Best for Jim's surgery, whenever it happens!
ReplyDeleteYa, Busy, busy, busy - doin' nuttin' !! LOL
ReplyDeleteThe Fire Queen
Hope you're not wearing yourself out with all that busy work. :)
ReplyDeleteTODAY we will be busy, I promise.
ReplyDeletenice campfire in the desert!...nothing like smelling like smoke..love it!!!
ReplyDeleteI miss the campfires. We got to have one this summer and the next one probably won't be until next January when I hope to be joining you all again.
ReplyDeleteAll our hopes go with Jim into his surgery whenever it happens. Could you go to Q in the meantime? I hate to see anyone else miss it that wants to be there.
Your in our prayers for your surgery Jim and wish you both the best.
ReplyDeleteWe can't see our first campfire until this summer.
It's about time.
Once your life becomes prescribed by the Doctors, it seems like it isn't your own any more. So lets hope they get a schedule that they can live with, so you can make some plans for your own life and perhaps be able to keep them........ Rod
ReplyDeleteBeautiful campfire one of the nicer things about the desert evenings. Glad to hear Jim's Doctor's are being so thorough about everything. Cute picture of the girls even behind the bars. Enjoy your additional time in Quartzsite.
ReplyDeleteAh, it's just an expen, it does keep them safe & still allows them to move around a bit. I carry mine everywhere I go too. Some people make yards, but with my guys, I'm afraid they'd tip over their yard. If mine got out, it could be fatal for them! I hope Jim's surgery goes well.
