The electrician showed up about 9:00 this morning and headed right on up and up and up.
He installed the new conduit and wires and then installed the new meter base. Sure looks different than the old one.
After Darren finished his installation, it was time to call Dean. Dean is the one who could give us the seal of approval. That green seal means we can have the power company come out and hook us up again.
Finally, the bucket truck arrives. Hooks up the power and installs the meter dial. We have electricity!!
Scooter is so happy.
Skittlez just wants sunshine.
HAhaaaa.... I like Scooter's red rug and attitude. What is Skittlez laying in? is that a recessed step by the door? whatever she looks totally content... ha
ReplyDeleteoh, to be a dog or cat .... just hanging and soaking up luv and sunshine... what ... a deal
My, Skittlez has found THE perfect place!!
ReplyDeleteDoes Skittlez always sleep on his back? Yeah, electricity.
ReplyDeleteYippee!! Having electricity is a good thing!
ReplyDeleteYay!!!!
ReplyDeleteSafety is everything!
ReplyDeleteFunny how the electric company's vary throughout the country. We had a fire in our meter last year, The co-op. Cuivre River Electric we belong to came out and rewired and replaced the meter box and Junction inlet for free, no charge to us of any kind.Hope your rewire job wasn't to expensive. Sam & Donna..
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA...Skittlez is a hoot.
ReplyDeleteGlad the electric is back on.
Nice to see you're back in the juice. Sure wish I had one of those fancy lifts once in a while.
ReplyDeleteLove the dog shots
ReplyDeleteThose are some tired puppies! I don't trust our screen door to be strong enough to hold our big boy, so we never leave the main door open like that. They would love it though.
ReplyDeleteSkittlez looks entirely happy! Glad you are back up and running with electricity again!
ReplyDeleteHope you still have some money left for doggy treats after that big electrcal job.
ReplyDeleteYeah...AC!
ReplyDeleteThe pups sure know how to adjust! Love your pictures of them...isn't it funny how they are the same and yet so totally different? Sure puts a smile on my face!
Oh my goodness...what cute dogs! When I first opened this site all I could see was their great big eyes starring up at me. Look forward to following you. (Glad you have the electricity problem solved.)
ReplyDeleteSure, blame the dogs for being happy you have juice and coolness again! ;c)
ReplyDeleteWhat a process, could they make it more difficult? It's not like you're building a nuclear power plant or anything! :cD
Glad you have some cool again. Dachsies do love to sunbathe.
ReplyDeleteIt's always great to get power back! These days, we're totally lost without it.
ReplyDeleteOh to have a dogs life. Glad you got electricity again.
ReplyDeleteHaha, Carlos - my little Chi mix also likes to jump in that space too! Why? Because they can?
ReplyDeleteSoooo, can it be safe to say that the Bucket Truck is now off your bucket list?? Sorry, could not resist....but power is a good thing!!
So glad to hear that everything worked out OK for you and you finally have electricity and can run your A/C.
ReplyDeleteIt hits me how much easier it is with solar panels,a charge controller and an inverter - or a nice and quiet HONDA Genny. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the pics of the doggies. Priceless!
I think that bucket truck is an good example of the right tool for the job:)
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! power once more! Skittles and Scooter are a hoot!
ReplyDeleteNice that everything worked out for you, our surge guard is a must with all the different areas we camp.
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a project. Your BIL must really love you guys.
ReplyDeleteThat pic of Scooter just cracks me up !!
ReplyDeleteSkittlez and Scooter are characters. Looks like Skittlez is in a compartment in the motorhome although I see steps. How the heck did she get up there?
