How Long Has It Been

Apache Junction, AZ  High 86  Low 52

Since the price of diesel was less than the price for regular gas. Sorry about the lousy picture. Taken on the run through the windshield.

  1. Considering the refining process, the price of diesel should be lower than gasoline but we all know that rarely happens any more. Still it is very nice to see. Are you sure the station was open??? lol

  2. Love it. We actually found diesel for $3.63 today.

  3. Those are great prices for diesel. We probably won't see that here in NJ, where it's still about $3.86, depending on where you get it.

  4. Its in the 80s out here in Arizona, so I am guessing that there is not much competition from heating oil requirements.....

  5. Oh sure, when I drove a diesel truck the cost was exhorbitant. I sell that truck and what happens?

  6. As soon as we hit the road this weekend it will probably shoot right back up. Seems like it does near a weekend. That is not right but what are we to do about it.

  7. We had expected gas to be pretty high in California when we left Arizona. We filled up the Jeep today and it was $3.79 so not bad. I didn't look at the price of diesel ... Jeep doesn't take diesel.

  8. Diesel was always cheaper when Rich and I were traveling. This is the first I've heard that it's occurring, again. Of course, I'm not traveling and putting many miles on the trip, so that makes sense. Now, if I were to plan a trip, I'd ruin it all for you. The prices of diesel would go sky high! LOL

  9. Sure wish the diesel would drop about a dollar! Fat chance.....

  10. Here in MO they added 17 cents tax just to diesel to gouge the truckers and the railroads. We will never see diesel cheaper than gas.But with the mileage and longevity I'm still better off with my Duramax. Sam & Donna...

  11. We filled up at that station. It's still 10 cents more a gallon here but regular gas is $3.51. I keep saying it's not as bad as the first year we started Rving as we averaged $4.85.

  12. Ever since the requirement by the EPA came out for Ultra Low Sulpher Diesel came out, the fuel has to be refined four times, causing an increase in the price over gas. Now they are adding bio-mass stuff to the diesel fuel making it somewhat cheaper, but my diesel CAT engine doesn't run well on it and it keep clogging my filters. I look really carefully on the diesel pumps now and if they have a Biodiesel sticker on it, I pass.

    Another "great" government idea. :c(

  14. Saw the greatest sign in Reno once. For the different grades they charged "ARM" "LEG" and "FIRSTBORN".

  16. That station must be the exception from the rule. All along the way we have never seen Diesel being lower than gas.
