Not really. But I have completely lost my voice so silence reigns at our house. I get laryngitis once a year, regular as clockwork. I inherited this wonderful whatever from my Mom. She did the same thing. I have a cold but don’t feel too bad.
BUT, this means I don’t get to go enjoy Christmas dinner with my sister, her hubby, Jim and Aunt Happy. I don’t dare take my germs to a senior living center.
Sure hope everyone had a truly wonderful day filled with love and joy.
Last Wednesday, we went to the Dutton’s holiday show in Mesa. They put on a fabulous show; very talented family. They were on America’s Got Talent and made it into the top ten acts that year. They have a theater in Branson as well as the one here in Mesa. Definitely an act that is worth seeing.
We also got our trailer brakes replaced. Thank goodness that’s over with. Now we are definitely ready to head to Q on Tuesday. I’m going regardless of how I feel.
My Christmas was definitely not very exciting but the sun was shining and that made me feel better. Hope you had a wonderful day filled with lots of love and joy.
Oh Sandie, I'm so sorry to hear that you were not able to make it to Christmas dinner. I know you were so looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteHope Jim was able to bring home left overs for you.
sorry to hear you are not up to par today!!..hope you had a good day anyway..peace and quiet is a good thing once in a while!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you had a great Holiday even without being able to talk, If your were Italian like Sam you could use your arms and hands. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna..
ReplyDeleteOh how funny. I am sure Jim missed the sound of your beautiful voice! Hope you are feeling better today.
ReplyDeleteWill miss you at the "Q". You are going to have a couple of dear friends of ours join you. I know they will love all of you! Enjoy
Sounds like a great show.
ReplyDeleteHope your voice returns soon.
Sharon
Did Jim finally catch a fish to give you for Christmas? :)
ReplyDeleteBummer. In the silence, I hope you had a moment to commune with the reason we have Christmas in the first place. Blessings on your throat; take it easy for a day!
ReplyDeleteThis dear friend is looking forward to seeing you, voice or no voice. And I will still have leftover turkey. That's the plan anyhow.
ReplyDeleteOK, I did get a laugh over Jim's C'mas pressie, but seriously, I'm sorry that you are sick & could not attend the festivities. I'm sure you'll make up for it all once you get to Q! I hope you feel better soon though..
ReplyDeleteSandie, so sorry, I didn't realize that you had to spend Christmas alone, that is not very good!! you and Lennie were about in the same boat. Lennie is feeling better and I hope that continues...with this, it will be up and down for about a year I guess. Hopefully it won't be for any more than that!
ReplyDeleteYou have a Very Happy New Year there kiddo. Jim, you have to take real good care of her!! So that she in turn can care for you after your surgery. Good luck and let us know how things are going.
Well, that is just such a bummer! I have heard of lots of people down with various things this Christmas. I hope you got lots of rest and didn't have to do anything - store up your energy for Quartzsite! I'm looking forward to meeting you soon.
ReplyDeleteFeel better. :)
Sandie, i am sorry i haven't been to your blog more often. i appreciate that you read my christmas entry. I was sooo upset that my paragraph about spending quality time with jim and sandie in billings was not there. I wrote it in there. i had about 17 versions. i posted the wrong one. I was using windows live writer for the very first time so i was too terrified to "edit" or "correct" because there was no button for that. it looked like it would only repost the entire article. I am working on it tonight and hope to get it corrected. we had such a wonderful time in billings. believe me, steve and I are thinking of you Jim, and sending you big hugs for january. everything will go great and you will be a frisky new colt when it's over. hugs you two!

Hope you feel better soon. Jim will soon actually miss the sound of your sweet voice for sure. Sounds like the flu and colds are really making their rounds this year. Enjoy the sunshine!
ReplyDeleteIts supposed to be much warmer this week, so perhaps that will warm the cold right out of you. Its still cold in Kansas with a high today in the 40s, which the locals are calling warm......Go figure.....
ReplyDeleteHey, new brakes for Christmas Woo! Hoo!
