Jim’s Home

AJ, AZ  High 106  Low 85

I headed for the hospital about 10:00 and we finally got out of there at 1:00 which isn’t too bad considering all the paperwork that needs to be done. Then it all has to be signed. They sent Jim home with Percocet and that requires a physicians signature. That took forever.

I left the truck with the valet parking which is worth every penny of the $4 for me. Besides those young guys really like driving a big ole pick-up truck.

Jim is feeling pretty good – because he’s got those good drugs. He has been asleep in his chair since we got home. Scooter doesn’t understand why he won’t go rabbit hunting with her and she doesn’t want me to go.

Jim came home with a drain that we have to empty and measure. The surgeon will take it out next week when we go to see him. We’ll also discuss with him about the surgery on the other leg. Jim is really leaning towards leaving here as soon as he heals and then doing the surgery when we get back.

Jim was in the penthouse suite (lol) at the hospital on the 12th floor and this was his view.

  3. Crikey ..... they let him home with the drain still in????? That would never be allowed here. Hey Scooter ..... forget the hunting for a while, aye?? Your Dad needs a bit of rest. It's so good he's home.

  4. I went home with a drain after abdominal surgery. We also had to measure the output. Recovery at home is usually better than in a hospital. Fewer dangerous germs! and mor loving care.

  9. Wow what a view from the penthouse. Not many tall buildings in that area. Glad he's on the mend. Scooter will be happy once Jim can walk again.

  15. Good to have him home. Don't let him make big decisions while he's on those drugs, though. :)

  19. Wonderful news that all went well. Glad that Jim is home where he can rest and heal quickly. Hospitals are no place to get good rest with all the noise.

Hope that valet treated the truck nicely, not like the valet in the Ferris Buhler movie... :cD

  22. Always good to get home where one can eat real food again along with undisturbed sleep. It's also good for you, less driving and stress and the pups are happy to have Jim home too.
