After our exhausting Wednesday we had to be up at 5:30 Thursday morning. I needed to be at the dermatologist at 7:30 for my Mohs procedure.
It went quite well. He got all the skin cancer on the first try which made me happy. The worst part of the whole procedure was when they put the numbing solution in. It really burns. But once you’re numb, you are really numb. So the only thing I could feel was some pressure when the doctor pushed down on my forehead. However, they forgot to tell me they gave me a black eye.
Took about three hours and I was out of there. Met up with Paul for lunch at Native New Yorker.
Paul was having his motorcycle serviced and after lunch he came over to the house and we visited until his bike was ready.
Tonight my head hurts and I’m really tired. I’m going to wait until tomorrow to post this. And I’m way behind on reading blogs. Hope everything is good in your world.
At least they got it all. I know what you mean about the pressure - I could always feel the pressure when having cataracts removed. It hurt, and hurt for a while afterward.
ReplyDeleteSo now Jim can be nursemaid. Glad it's over for you.
ReplyDeleteOuch!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad the procedure went well, and I have to say you look really, really pretty. I think that black eye and forehead patch look great on you. :) Get some rest and feel better soon.

ReplyDeleteGlad they got it all on one try, Nat has had to have many slices on some of his MOHS before they got it all--he too has had a black eye. Hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteIf it takes more than one try here, they supply lunch for you. You'll be amazed how quickly it will heal. See you Monday.

ReplyDeleteSure looks sore but a very necessary procedure. Hope you heal up soon.
ReplyDeleteI've been down that route also with MOHS and don't look forward to it again. At least you headed off a much worse situation and you should be up and running in a day or so. Take good care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteglad they got it all. When I first went on blood thinners Riggs was a pup and would jump on me a cause a bruise. I told Sam you'd better be nice to me or I'll call the cops, wont say a word just stand there and you know they arent going to think the dog bruised me that way...So Jim better be nice to her :-)
ReplyDeleteAh.....visits to "the doctor shop" I know that well. Glad everything turned out o.k. with your Mohs. Hope you and Bob have a wonderful holiday in spite of all the aches and pains that go with being "more mature" as my sweet hubby says.
