Our Week

Apache Junction, AZ  High 98  Low 66

Clark Rambling told me it was about time I updated my blog. Didn’t realize it had been so long since I last posted.

We really haven’t been doing much of anything. Jim has been catching rather than just fishing. In fact he fished four days last week and caught fish every day so he is one happy camper.

On Thursday Key went fishing with Jim. He wrote a great blog post about their day on the water so go on over and check it out. One of the items on Key’s bucket list was to catch a fish using an artificial lure. Success.

I’ve been doing a lot of reading and got the carpets shampooed. As you can see the heat has arrived here in the desert. I still prefer the heat to the cold.

Our park is emptying fast. Went to a “see ya in the fall” dinner last night with two couples. Other than that, life is quiet.

We made the mistake of having our teeth cleaned. Now I need a crown and Jim needs two crowns and a filling. Oh joy. Won’t get it all done before we leave town but guess we’ll get started.

We see Jim’s oncologist next Thursday and expect good news from that visit. Then he needs to see his cardiologist on the 22nd and we plan on leaving town on the 28th. Those are our plans and we all know about plans.

  3. There is a dentist near us that does crown in one day. Actually he does the whole job in 2 hours. Previously it took almost a month for our dentist back east to do the job and he charged more. Gerry's had one crown I have two by the dentist and are really pleased with his work.

I find it funny to hear about people catching fish in the desert.

  6. Good to see that all is still well with you all. Our temp today was only 59...about 40 less than yours. The sun was out...what can we say?

Juanita is doing her oncologist thing Tuesday...it's her first visit to the Oregon doctor, so nothing new is expected.

Take care you two...see ya in the fall..............................

  10. Well, summer is just around the corner so I imagine it definitely is getting pretty hot down there. I don't like heat but then again, I don't like cold. Here's hoping Jim's appointments go as planned.

  11. We know what you mean about just getting teeth cleaned. I just found out I have a cavity...what...I thought all my teeth had fillings already. No such luck...YUCK!

  12. We have been "dentisted" to death in the past, so much so that Jerry is nearly all crowns, and Suzy is getting some gaps filled in, but that's all. Our dental insurance pays off and that's good.

  17. It's outrageous what dentists charge. I'm fortunate that my whole mouth had been crowned/capped not that many years ago so I hope I'm good for a while.

What kind of fish has Jim been catching. I don't have any luck with fresh water.

Tell S&S Jack and I said hello. Good luck at appointments, and a great time wherever you're headed!

  18. Here's hoping Jim gets good news at the oncologist.

Dentists always seem to have bad news.
