Apache Junction, AZ High 78 Low 51
We’ve been keeping a low profile, letting Jim recuperate. He spends a lot of time with his leg up.
Of course he has to have company.
We bought the girls a new doggie bed because we thought it might be nice for them to lay on outside. But they still prefer the hot rocks. They do like laying on it in the house though.
What’s really great is the fact that Jim is able to walk. We’ve been walking around a few blocks in the park a couple of times a day and he doesn’t have any leg pain. For the first time in years and years. It’s going to take awhile to build his stamina but that’s okay.
On Sunday we picked up Dianna and headed down to Casa Grande to Bill and Jan’s house. They invited about 20 people over for dinner and socializing. I took my camera and then forgot to take any pictures. What a lot of fun we had. And it felt so good to get out of the house for something besides just shopping or doctor appointments.
Tomorrow night we’re going to the AZ Opry. Let the fun times roll.
Everyone looks so comfortable!
ReplyDeleteYou know things are looking up when daily activities do not include doctors visits:)
ReplyDeleteI like your report that Jim has no leg pain. Excellent! His stamina will come now that he has no pain.
ReplyDeleteJim sure has some good company when resting. Cute pictures of the girls. Glad he is doing better and that you guy's are getting out more. Agree let the good times roll.
ReplyDeleteWonderful news about Jim. Glad you gave us this update. We were both wondering what was going on.
ReplyDeleteI see the girls are showing their best side...hehe
So Jim has to fight for some couch time? I guess we know who is boss(es) around your RV... ;c)
ReplyDeleteYou can come over here and put a leg up on our couch any time you want too! The girls could come too if we can get them to get along with Biscuit... That might need to go slow for a while.... Give us a call..
ReplyDeleteWow! Jim sure looks good! He will be fishing in no time. So glad you can get out and about.
ReplyDeleteWe have a couple outside beds for Duchess too. She prefers the rocks and the dirt. Who would have figured!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that Jim is getting back to 100 percent. Still need to meet for Chinese one of these days. Looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with having so much fun that you forget to take pics! I'm glad Jim can take some walks. Tell him he's a few steps ahead of me! ;-)

ReplyDeleteGood to hear from you guys again. Hope Jim is making progress with his leg. Curious when we will see you again.
ReplyDeleteGreat news on Jim's leg. Glad to hear he has no pain now. The doxies get their share of the couch (or bed or chair, lol) first don't they? Same thing happens here.
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear from you two....and so very happy that Jim no longer has the pain in his leg.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to get out and walk too...our neighbors, Jill and Ross Powell come over and take Sunshine for a walk/run/whatever with their little black lab once or twice a week...but Bill and I were used to going every day..up the Rims.....NOT GOOD WITH ALL THIS SITTING AROUND!!!!
The opera sounds good. I like the little Christmas Tree ornament on fb.
Love, Carol
Happy for both of you!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to know that Jim is able to walk and not having severe pain. Must have been wonderful to get out for a while and visit with friends. Love the photo of the pooches sleeping on Jim.
ReplyDeleteNo leg pain...that's a very good thing.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear Jim's recovery is going well. About time you two get to go out and play.
ReplyDeletePain free is a good thing! (or so I've been told :()
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear things are going well.
ReplyDeleteJim seems to be doing very well, but I think he's smart to take it easy for a while longer. I know what you mean about just going out for shopping & doctors' appointments - it's nice to just socialize once in a while.
ReplyDeleteOur pets have a way of wanting to be near us when we are on our recliner too. Glad to see Jim is doing better, walking has sure helped Bob in his recovery.
ReplyDeleteGreat news that Jim is walking without pain.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that Jim is doing well and is having no leg pain, that must be a real relief. I see the girls enjoy keeping him company.
