Except that Jim is fishing. He went out Wednesday, Thursday and he’s going out again today. He is one happy, happy man. Hasn’t had much luck catching but who cares.
On Tuesday, we got to meet Susan of What's Up With Susan and Company and her son Ted. Ted needed to rewire Susan’s brakes on her truck and Jim had the tools that he needed. What a great young man. He knew what he was doing and was more than willing to do it all. Susan and I just talked and talked. So much fun to meet other RVers. She’s headed for a workamping position in Texas.
We also got to meet Angel. She is really a Mama’s girl. We were so busy visiting I forgot to take any pictures so I “borrowed” this one from Susan’s blog.
My great excitement for the week was getting our tax return filed. I am so glad that is over with for another year.
Other than that, I’ve been reading and keeping the girls company. Next Tuesday we will be heading out to the Good Sam Rally which is being held out at the Phoenix International Raceway. I am beyond excited that our wheels will actually move again, if only for a few days.
One of these days Jim is going to catch a really big fish! You guys need to go to Alaska so he can catch salmon & halibut!
ReplyDeleteI hope you post pictures when Jim's big fish comes in. :)
ReplyDeletefish dinner tonight?
ReplyDeleteGetting our tax return filed always feels like a big accomplishment! It sounds like you've had a lot of alone time this week while Jim is out fishing.
ReplyDeleteIf it is a big relief for an ex IRS gal to get her taxes filed, where does that leave the rest of us??? LOL I never liked the surprise numbers at the end....

Yay for fishing. Yay for having tools others need. Yay for taxes being done for another year. Yay for your patience through all that.
ReplyDeleteI know, it is tough to blog when you are sitting still.
ReplyDeleteDonna did our taxes last weekend, we ended up hacing to pay a good amount, I hope you did better. be safe out there. Sam & Donna..
ReplyDeleteSure hope Jim has luck with catching something but as long as he is out fishing and having fun, that's all that matters.
ReplyDeleteIt will be nice for you to get those wheels rolling and seeing some new scenery.

Our friends, Connie and Kenny, are here with us in Buckeye. You met them in the "Q". They are going to the rally. So are our new friends, Jane and Joe. We are going up one day to see the vendors. Everyone should have a good time. Enjoy ~whereswever
ReplyDeletegetting the wheels moving again will be good..the Phoenix Speedway?..really?..how cool!
ReplyDeleteSend Jim my way! I need some pointers on fishing so my grandsons will actually catch a fish after all my struggles with their fishing line tangles.
ReplyDeleteI know you are anxious to get rolling down the road again. Hope you have a good time at the rally. Hope Jim catches a fish before you all leave. Roger is getting itchy to get a Florida fishing license. I think he wants to try some salt water fishing here in the Keys.
ReplyDeleteTaxes are such a pain. We owed again this year, luckily less than last year.
ReplyDeleteWe're glad to see him out in his boat doing what he enjoys! Who cares if he's not catching. He's enjoying himself and that's what counts.
ReplyDeleteSusan and Angel are a lot of fun. She stopped by and said Hello when they were going through Desert Hot Springs on their way back home. Sure happy to see they are making good progress. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteJim and Sandie, Thank you so much for helping our former neighbor Susan out. She is such a sweet lady! We are so glad to have spent what little time we could with her when she lived in Rancho Cordova. Life always seemed to get in the way of spending more time than we did with her. Happy camping! ReplyDeleteI just did such a dumb thing. I marked all items read in my reader and I don't know how to undo it, but I figured you had posted something, Sandie. I had read quite a few of the usual blogs I read, but I have no idea which ones I left out.
ReplyDeleteEvery year since Rich died, I dread doing taxes. He always did them with "no drama". I gripe and moan, and really, I don't have half as much to do as he did since we owned the business when he was alive.
I'm sure I missed some things this year, but I sent them in and it's done. Won't think about it until next year.
Happy St. Patty's Day to you and Jim.
So thankful that Jim is fishing again and no pain. Really nice to read the reports even though not many fish. Still looking forward to a fish fry though.
ReplyDeleteYIPPEEEE !! Jim's fishing again. Who would have thought so soon huh.
