We had planned on going to Filly’s on Sunday afternoon after Church because they have two bands playing. Well, that’s what we thought. Jeri checked it out for us and found out the entertainment doesn’t start until Thanksgiving week-end. We ended up going to a late lunch with Jeri and Terry at Cobb’s. Nothing special, just close by.
This morning Jim had an appointment with the Desert Institute for Spine Care (DISC) this morning. Faye told us about them and the relief she has received. At Escapade she was so miserable she could hardly walk. So we’re going to see if they can do anything to help Jim so he can walk again. Tomorrow morning he has an MRI. Our fingers are crossed that something good will come of this.
This afternoon was spent running errands from Verizon, to the Animal Hospital to get some skin cream for Scootz, to the bank, to Walmart, and a few other stops along the way.
Pork chops for dinner tonight. Have a good evening.
I will be thinking of Jim tomorrow and will say a healing prayer tonight. Take care.

The only thing special about Cobb's was the people we were with!!
ReplyDeleteWe certainly hope Jim gets that back taken care of!
GOOD LUCK WITH THE APPT TOMORROW!
ReplyDeleteGood luck to Jim tomorrow. Back pain is no fun, that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteTell Jim we are thinking of him! Good luck tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteKnow all about back pain. Had to have back surgery when I was only 39 years old !! Thought I'd never be able to walk again.
ReplyDeleteSure hope Jim can get some help. Keeping him in my thoughts and prayers. Be sure and let us know how he is doing.
ReplyDeletebe sure to wish Jim luck tomorrow with his appointment!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck to Jim. I'll be praying for him.
ReplyDeleteI sure hope the spinal folks have an answer for Jim. It's no fun being laid up with back pain.
ReplyDeleteGood luck.
I have heard it said the weakest part in the human skeletal body is the lower back and spine. Just one vertical set of bones to support the whole upper body. (including muscles of course) All the best to Jim and having been totally incapacitated with severe back pain in the past I understand the frustration involved.
ReplyDeleteI understand, I also have back pain so bad sometimes that I can't even walk, but in my case it's due to fibromyalgia. I found you at hobojoe and I'm following you from Rome, Italy. All the best to you!
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing worse than back pain... good luck!
ReplyDeleteI can empathize with Jim. Hope he gets some relief!
ReplyDeleteHope Jim gets good news from his medical appointment!
ReplyDeleteWe're all rooting for complete healing.
ReplyDeletePrayers coming your way, Jim. They can do just about anything now a days to help.
ReplyDeleteHowdy Dixons,
ReplyDeleteJim,I commiserate with you on the back pain.. Mine is progressively getting worse, but the VA won't do anything unless I have an MRI and I have claustriphobia so bad I can't do the test.. I go bezerk, now, when I even THINK about it!!
I am praying for you to get some relief..
Been reading your blog for a while. Just realized we are across the valley from you this week. We are in revival in El Mirage at Desert Cove Assembly on Dysart between Olive and Cactus. It would be cool to meet your whole bunch.
ReplyDeleteGod bless,
Davy
