We have been so busy doing odds and ends of things that aren’t worthy of being blogged about. We did get the motorhome consigned with Pierce RV so here’s praying it sells rapidly.
I would like to share the following poem written by my great niece. She had posted this to her Facebook page, so I just kind of borrowed it. She’s is doing really well at the half way house. Has found a full time job and is doing community service. Lots of prayers are also being sent her way. Not all her days are good ones though.
each day i face down demons
fighting to see the light
i push them back
in this never ending fight
sometimes i close my eyes and pray
just to say thank you
for surviving another day
And her quote today: somedays just seem to last forever because they are the trivial monotony before the ones you’ll never forget.
I love you Tara Jo.
I certainly hope you get your motorhome sold fast. My fingers and toes are crossed for you.
ReplyDeletegreat poem and even better quote..we could live by that at the moment!!
ReplyDeleteAll the best to Tara Jo in her struggles for a better life. It's out there but it just takes some of us a little longer to find it.
ReplyDeleteShe is a very pretty girl, and smart too. Be safe out there Sam & Donna.
ReplyDeleteThat was a strong poem and a great quote. We'll add that to our list of "thoughts for the day." Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteTara Jo's poem is right on.
ReplyDeleteTara Jo, remember those 1st 3 steps...
1. I can't
2. God can
3. I believe I'll let Him.
It will get better!

ReplyDeleteGreat to hear your niece is doing well. Hope she hangs in there even though it must be tough.
ReplyDeleteI will pray for your selling the rig and for Tara Jo.... So many of us have struggles, God will give us the strength to beat them if we let him......

ReplyDeleteHi Sandie......Tara's poem was so very wonderful. She is a brave woman to tackle this battle....as one who has been in recovery for almost 30 years.....just let her know that it can be won...."one day at a time"....she has lots of good ones in front of her.
