WHAT HAPPENED TO SPRING?

After the beautiful day we had on Wednesday for the picnic and then dancing at the Skies. Thursday the heat turned on. We hit the mid 90’s and I actually had to turn on the AC. I really hate doing that but with the girl’s tongues dragging on the ground, I figured it was time.

Then came Friday – we broke the all time record for heat that day by hitting the grand number 100. Needless to say the air was on at our house again.

th_SweetTomatoes We really didn’t do anything. It was just too hot to want to do much. Rounded up Jeri and Terry and went to dinner at Sweet Tomatoes because we all wanted a salad for dinner. They really have a great selection plus Terry got his tapioca pudding and Jim got his ice cream for dessert.

Also on Friday I got a call from my sister. They had gone on a safari trip on Thursday and when they got back, their hot water heater had broken and water had soaked their brand new carpet.

On Saturday morning we headed to Mesa to see what we could do to help Don and Judy with their mess. Judy and I took off to pick up a new hot water heater and Don and Jim started work on getting the old one drained and removed. Many hours later the guys got the new hot water heater installed, the carpet guys came with their big fans and we all went home and collapsed.
