As some of you know, the main reason I started my blog was so my Dad could follow along with Jim and I on our journeys. Dad always loved to travel and see new places and I wish he could have taken more journeys with us. But his health just didn't permit that.
However, he loved his computer. For his 80th birthday, Mom and I decided he needed a computer. The rest of the family thought we were nuts because Harold had never used a computer before and his lack of patience was legendary. Mom and I charged ahead anyhow and it was one of the best decisions we ever made. He took to using the computer like a duck to water.
Even if he couldn't travel with us in the motorhome, he could follow the blog and see what we were seeing and enjoy our new friends.
Now I need to find another reason for doing the blog. My heart hasn't been in doing the blog so I've done a lot of thinking about it while we were driving the over 3,000 miles we covered in the last two weeks. I've decided that the blog is really an excellent way for us to remember our journey as full-timers and to acknowledge the wonderful friends we've made along the way.
So I will be continuing the blog. I'm sure my Dad will still be enjoying our travels with us as he and Mom continue to watch over us.

Your Dad wasn't the only one enjoying your travels. I'm glad you've decided to continue including the rest of us.
ReplyDeletehow else would we know what you have been up to and where we will meet up again. thanks for posting!
ReplyDeleteWe love reading your blog. We want you to keep it up so we can keep track of you.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that you will continue your blog. I really have enjoyed it and I use it to get ideas for future places to visit. My main reason for blogging is to keep track of where we have been and when. Sometimes I need a blogging vacation though when there isn't much to write about or maybe I'm just not in the mood. Don't let the blog control you - that's what our new lifestyle is about - the freedom to do what we want, when we want.
