Retired Rod

AJ, AZ  High 78   Low 55

blog7I wanted to let everyone know that Rod won’t be blogging for awhile. His two sons flew out on Monday to help him drive the motorhome and Jeep back to Kansas City. I really don’t have too much information, but Rod has a brain tumor and is going to have surgery.

I’m hoping that someone will let us know how he is doing but I’m not sure we will hear anything. If I do, I will be sure to keep all of you updated.

Rod has a deep faith in the Lord and I know he would appreciate your prayers.

  5. I'm so sorry to hear this - my prayers and good wishes go out to Rod and his family. My dad had a large brain tumor when he was 53 - a long time ago. He's now 93 and still doing well (for a man his age). Hopefully Rod will have the same good results. Do keep us informed if you hear anything.

  17. First time we met Rod was just outside Albuquerque NM. Second time was when Rod drove up to our house in Congress from his place somewhere near Phoenix. Last 2 times we saw Rod was at the 2015 & 2016 Bloggerfests. Nice fella & he's been on my mind since reading your Wednesday post. Retired Rod has been on our sidebar from my early blogging days way back when. Wishing him all the best.

  18. In honor of Retired Rod - I went back and re-read the famous Roomba post of TUESDAY MARCH 4, 2014 - perhaps the funniest blog I have ever read - I know Rod was never the same after the loss of his beloved wife Loyce - but he did his best to carry on - I am so glad his family is there to help and we all pray for a full recovery and many happy years ahead for Rod and little Biscuit. Thank You for giving us this health information and any future updates. Best Wishes for you and yours too. Cindy

  21. Wow. What a shock to find this. I always read Al's posts. Saw the name "Rod" in the sidebar. He is such a sweet person. This reminds me TOO MUCH of the shock it was for me the day he lost Loyce and told us about it. Disaster out of the blue, so to speak. I do hope so much that he has good results from the surgery, he does has great family support. Thank you so much for posting this!
