More dental and on to Quartzsite

Yuma, AZ

After all the great music in Blythe we had to go back down to Yuma for another appointment at the dentist for Jim. We knew it was going to be a pretty long day so I stayed home with the girls. Jim spent from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the dentist’s office. And then it took him over an hour in line to get back across the border.

Michaela – found this truck for you in Yuma. Just your color.

At this point he has temporary crowns and it was time for us to go north again to Quartzsite. We were going to park with the Class-less Class of Escapees. Turned out to be a huge group – over 20 rigs. Lots of new people and I didn’t get much of a chance to visit with them which is sad.

Dave Kersey took this picture of our group with his drone. Isn’t that cool?

Jan and Bill pulled up close to us and discovered a couple of problems that needed Jim’s expertise. First of all their generator wouldn’t start. Jim and Bill finally figured out that the choke wasn’t working correctly. Needs an adjustment that we’ll get taken care of before they do any more boondocking.

They also had a major water leak somewhere. Jim crawled underneath their rig and took off the underpanel. Discovered that the connections on the black tank were loose. So he got those tightened up and thank goodness Tom showed up to help him get it all back together again. Thank you Tom.

jan Jan really got around great with her knee scooter but her arms definitely got a workout on those rocks.

I’m going to do a couple of posts on Q because we had so much going on, but I wanted to share our first sunset from Q for 2015. No touchup at all. Just God’s artistry.

  6. Are you getting all the rain we are in Tucson? They are talking about 2-3 inches in past day or so and more on the way Saturday with thunderstorms. It has been raining all day here and is only in the 50s. Where is all the Arizona sunshine.

Hope all goes well with Jim and his teeth work. I know I hate to go to the dentist.

    Have fun out there,

  10. It's great that you have been able to make that appointment, and find that dental service to take care of some of your woes. There are more dental clinics that specialize and that are for other specific cases, so it would really help to keep tabs on all of those in all their pluses and minuses. Thanks for sharing that! All the best!
